BSC Winsome Sears won't say if she's vaccinated, and then claims the media will "want to know what's in [her] DNA". Good grief, it's gonna be a wild 4 year ride, Virginia.

She also managed to spin the Tulsa race riot as a positive for Black people.

I don't believe she said rejoice.

“But while we’re talking about history, how about we talk about how people, from the 1890s, black people from the 1890s to about 1950 or 1960 according to the U.S. Census, had been marrying in a percentage that had far surpassed anything that whites had ever done. When we talk about the Tulsa race riots, let’s ask ourselves how did the black people amass so much wealth right after the Civil War, so that it could even be destroyed? How do they do that? You know, they were coming from nothing, from zero, some of them never even got the ’40 acres and a mule.’ Let’s try to emulate that,” Sears continued.

She seems to be saying Blacks were successful after the Civil War. Many apparently succeeded despite not receiving handouts. At some point, this success attracted the wrong sort of attention, IMHO.

It wasn't a race riot. It was a massacre - of black people and black businesses. The facts of what happened are pretty clear. Just because crazy Winsome Sears says otherwise doesn't make it true.

But I support her to keep saying this insane stuff. I'm a 50 year old white lady and I'll be voting blue until I'm in the grave because of this idiocy.

I do not like her politics, but if Black folks had their own guns during that Tulsa massacre, things would have looked a lot different and there would not have been a massacre. The good Black armed folks of Tulsa would not have had their homes destroyed, businesses stolen and women, men and children murdered. At least not with the other side incurring just as many casualties. Just saying.

And that’s what guns are for. You go to the airstrip, and when the plane lands, you shoot the guy flying it in the head. Or you follow him home, and you shoot him in the head there. Either way, he won’t be dropping Molotov cocktails from his crop duster. That would’ve worked 100 years ago, and it will also work just as well now.

Of course that’s what she’s saying. But the idiots on the Outrage Committee won’t let anything pass unless it’s been spun into something it’s not. So typical.

Are you insane? It's outrageous because when ever black people have amassed wealth in any numbers, they've been killed or destroyed. I wonder how well black people would have done if reconstruction would have continued. Black people have always been a resilient people, especially if you consider that after slavery, black people had nothing. Literally nothing. Then when we tried to live the American dream, white people destroyed it. What is the good of being able to amass wealth, if white people will just take it.

Today's equivalent is black people's inability to get VC funding. They have great ideas, but can't amass wealth in the same way. Don't mention the 3 black billions and point to progress. I've literally had dinner with 3 white billionaires in the last month. That just shows how many there are.

And it’s also tougher to get a small business loan.
https://socialequity.duke.edu/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Entering-Entrepreneurship.pdf (pg 9)

The wealth gap generally makes it tougher for entrepreneurs.
“ In sum, policies focused on pathways into business ownership should consider how critical prior wealth can be for the fostering a more equitable ecosystem for business.”

I sincerely hope not. Putting aside her pandering ad, the problem with her is that she is incredibly inarticulate. I’m astonished that she was elected. She is a grab bag of tangled talking points and is clearly out of her depth.

Funny - you'd never refer to a POC as "incredibly articulate" - if s/he was a Democrat. Somehow all that changes when one is a POC Republican, huh?

Not at all. People are either articulate or not, regardless of race or ethnicity. Trump was inarticulate; Obama and Clinton were articulate, as are Liz Cheney and Will Hurd. Don’t assume standards apply based on the person being measured - it’s an objective measure. And the lt governor elect is inarticulate. I really don’t care about the color of her skin or who she engages with sexually, provided that person is an adult of sound mind. And don’t deflect a valid criticism with an emotional dog whistle.

You've completely missed the point. I agree with the bolded statement. But you can't deny that Democrats (in general) will hurl the usual "Racist/Misogynist!" labels at people who dare to criticize a Democratic woman / POC.

As for your last bolded statement, I plan to use that in the future.

No, you have missed the point and flipped things backward. Democrats criticize people who say racist or sexist things, whoever those people are and whoever they say those things about. The GOP cries "racism/sexism" if anyone makes legitimate criticisms of a GOP woman / POC.

The GOP use the emotional dog whistles to win all of their elections. It's not like they have done anything useful as a party for decades. They just shout about how the sky is falling and the immigrants are coming and blah blah blah patriotism blah blah blah family values, all the while being a cesspool party of corruption and lies.

Just shove off with your nonsense. Stop pretending to care about racism or sexism.
