When Democrats call POC "Uncle Toms, tokens, or props" if they dare to vote Republican, that pretty much speaks for itself. Democrats expect POC to fall in line and vote for Democrats - always have. We see that all the time here on DCUM, when liberals arrogantly lecture POC for "voting against their interests" - as if anyone but the voter in question would know what their interests are and who would best represent them. Liberals wrote the book on gatekeeping/racism. But it's cute that you're trying desperately to project otherwise. DP |
And so I'm sure you can understand those who feel exactly the opposite of you - right? Or are they simply "props"? I actually don't really care what your mindset is. I'm sick to death of Democrats berating POC who vote Republican. Which is exactly what you're all doing with Winsome Sears, Tim Scott, etc. Really not a good look. DP |
I can’t think of any recent Democratic presidential candidates who had guns in their ads. Tim Ryan probably does now in his Senate campaign but not when he ran for President. |
I haven't said anything about Winsome Sears. I think she's terrible, but not because she's a black republican. I think she's FOS. Tim Scott - same. If they were white I would feel exactly the same way. |
Democrat here: I berate Republicans - whether white or a person of color - because they advocate horrible policies, hate democracy, and/or are psychopath-adjacent. Winsome Sears is a freakshow, but not because she’s black. |
+1 She’s a MAGA nutjob. That has nothing to do with her skin color. |
Sure. And if I called a black Democrat a “freak show,” you’d claim I was a racist - and a misogynist, if she was a woman. Funny how that works, but not surprising. Democrats love their double standards. |
Sorry, but she's got the crazy eyes. Find me an equally weird-ass photo of a Democrat.
Freakshow. |
Depends if you were calling them a freak show just because of their skin color or not. |
|
I don't care what race she is. Any candidate who poses with an assault-style weapon in a campaign photo/ad is concerning.
Just show that photo to someone from another developed country and see what response you get. It...is...not....normal. |
+1 It's surreal that people actually think that is "normal" here. |

Republicans are moving on en masse from Trump. Sears is just one example.
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/politics/virginia-lt-gov-earle-sears-time-to-move-on-from-trump/3205900/ “A true leader understands when they have become a liability. A true leader understands that it’s time to step off the stage. And the voters have given us that very clear message,” she said, after being asked specifically about Trump, who has been teasing a “big announcement” Tuesday at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Earle-Sears listed a number of policy areas where she thought the Trump administration was due credit — including reducing unemployment levels among Black Americans and signing into law a bill to permanently provide funding for the nation’s historically Black colleges and universities. But when asked how she would respond if Trump announces a reelection bid next week, Earle-Sears responded: “I could not support him. I just couldn’t." |
I'm from a European country. In no way is this photo normal. Really, people. This doesn't make her look strong. It makes her look scared and weak. And in no way fit to hold public office. You know where I've seen images like this? In the kind of places where no normal American wants to live. |
Okey Dokey.
