Again, so overblown.

Most LS parents are clueless about all things soccer, so not that surprising.

Having boys and girls, many parents who only have boys have never heard of FCV, which makes sense because it’s a small club with mostly girls’ teams. It doesn’t have much of a presence on the boys’ side. FCV is a pretty niche club.

It really isn’t overblown. There’s history between them too and alleged stabs in the back when DA didn’t exist and an ECNL alliance was formed.

The main issue LS has is that if FCV were awarded an ECNL spot Loudoun Club would cease to exist. The numbers in college and national team placement do not lie.

I know I can speak on the subject with kids in both programs. (Loudoun child stays because of friends - FCV child does not leave due to high soccer aspirations in the future)

Yes, but that’s on the girls side only. You seem to keep missing that point. Without FCV girls GA teams, FCV would be a $h1t stain like ODFC or Sterling. Wake up darling.

FCV girls will need ECNL eventually

Oddly for college placement they don’t need ECNL however for college success and preparation they DO need ECNL. A large number of FCV girls go to good soccer schools and ride the bench and quit after a year or two. Many aren’t prepared for the level of competition even within their own team.

The girls at FCV are very good but succumb to weakness of the GA. The level of competition simply does not prepare them for the next level. Every team could have great highlights vs Sporting Delaware and Metro but show me girls that have amazing clips vs top ECNL teams like PDA, SoCal, Solar etc and those are the legit long term prospects.

*obviously there are exceptions to those comments but largely, I’m right

NLI photo ops and propaganda for the club.

Moves? I'm told by FCV that Loudoun's days are coming to an end.

Loudoun would still have over 10000 kids signing up every year.

Loudoun and FCV are really not competing in the same business. Sure, Loudoun's ECNL girls teams may overlap a little with FCV's teams. But that's a drop in the bucket to Loudoun's 10,000 players. If a few leave a girls ECNL team there are plenty more to fill their place. Success of the ECNL teams is not that important to Loudoun Soccer's success. Neither is their track record in college placement. They will have 10,000 players regardless. FCV is a niche girls club and relies on recruiting players to their teams to survive, which requires winning teams and a track record of college placements for marketing.

Except that GA and FCV topic is old news.

You sure? There’s a reason They cut coaching salaries by 30%.

Hint: it’s related to that heist pulled off in Spring of 2020

Can someone get this guy a life? Anyone?

There was no “heist.” There was no 30% salary reduction for coaches. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying to you.

You sound like like a deranged Trump supporter, flooding the zone with fake bullshit.

Yes, but that’s on the girls side only. You seem to keep missing that point. Without FCV girls GA teams, FCV would be a $h1t stain like ODFC or Sterling. Wake up darling.

That’s not FCVs problem. FCV did their job and spun up the promotion and marketing to get these girls scholarships. If they suck when they get there is on them.

How much scholarship money do you honestly believe is being spent on practice players?

Again. That doesn’t matter. FCV got the tweet and fb post. That’s all that matters. Once the girls leave, it’s on them.

Many FCV girls just sign letters of intent without scholarship

True except for the part where you specifically said FCV got them scholarships.

The ECNL mid Atlantic conf has many poor teams. Why is this being ignored?

The NC and SC teams are not very good with maybe one exception. Too many teams and the talent is watered down.

Let's not talk about a few of the more local teams. ouch

There is not one conference opponent FCV faces that is ranked in the top 100 nationally and they are still 2-1-1 and in 3rd place currently in GA.
