Too bad DC doesn't have the death penalty.

Federal charges for kidnapping, conspiracy, etc -- with murder death penalty is an option.

They didn't cross state lines in the kidnapping...

There was no money wire. The facts page for this topic will tell you an assistant dropped of $40k cash at the doorsteps before the house went into flames the following day.

Right. I was wondering why people were bringing one up. Why on earth would you think there would be a money wire? Start thinking like a street criminal.

Maybe his brother gave him some tips or was a co-conspirator.

I wonder what their mom is up to.

I'm sure she's a paragon of motherhood.

Well, maybe we should also be asking about their fathers. Really. Stop blaming only the mother when everyone has a mother and a father.

Ah, racial profiling at its best

Meh. I live in the neighborhood. AA people live in the neighborhood, but they don't look or dress like the suspect.

DC has "state law" (the DC code) that is separate from the federal United States Code. But I get what you're saying in theory (ie, the US attorneys are the prosecutors in DC, but indeed there is "dc state law.")

She appears to run a Venetian blind cleaning company. Anyone know if the Savopoulos had Venetian blinds home or office recently cleaned?

Will you feel all that much better if he dies in twenty years by execution or lives out his life in a super max prison? Why not focus on the fact that it sounds like he is still ON THE LOOSE and could kill someone else.
