New Bravo Show: Real Housewives of Potomac

I'm still confused how these are the Real Housewives of Potomac when only two live there (Karen and Monique) with Gizelle just down the road in Bethesda. Ashley is somewhat close in VA but the other three???

Robyn - Odenton
Candiace - Upper Marlboro
Wendy - Westminster

Perhaps "Real Housewives of the DMV" might have been a better title?

She's going to have to send her kids to private. That will suck up 10-50K per year depending on if she goes the Sidwell/GDS route or the local parish school.

I think they need to get rid of these 3, Gizelle was smart enough to use her Bravo money to purchase a home in MoCo because her spot will be secured for future seasons. Robyn is boring and has no storyline, she should be demoted to friend of the cast. They cannot completely get rid of her because of the GEB (green eyed bandits duo)

Candiace and Wendy are not even close to MoCo, AXE THEM!

At least Ashley is on the Potomac River in Arlington but she needs to move to Potomac or Bethesda. I suspect her husband refuses to move because then he would have purchased her a home that she would get to keep in the divorce.

As someone who grew up in Howard County there is nothing aspirational about living in Westminster.

As someone who grew up in Howard County there is nothing aspirational about living in Westminster.

Same here. Grew up in HoCo and we definitely turned our nose down at Westminster. Yuck.

Now I admit, she does not need a 10,000 sq ft house. With that being said, my friends who live in Oak Creek LOVE IT! The house is fine. Not my cup of tea, but the bones are good. They won't be able to afford to decorate it.

That is not a shitty location. It just depends on what you want and where you want to live. For me Potomac is a shitty location with shitty people. Since the RHOP folks don't care where people live, they should live where they want. Culturally, I probably wouldn't live in Potomac. My black friends in Potomac travel to socialize.

But Chris works in Alexandria. So it's just as far as Potomac. It's a strange location for them.

Considering traffic (if that’s an issue for him given his schedule), the commute to Alexandria from Upper Marlboro is not bad. Definitely not as convenient as their home at National Harbor.

Thank you! I don’t know why folks think I the end all is to live in Potomac. Not knocking it. I considered living there myself and chose Prince George’s because I prefer to live around folks who look like me and generally share my values and interests. She grew up in Atlanta, went to Howard, and has already lived in Prince George’s County. I don’t know why it’s so hard for folks to think it’s a stretch for her to continue living there.

I think there is only one Atlanta “housewife” that actually lived in Atlanta. Same for Beverly Hills. And there are several who aren’t “housewives” on those two and other shows. I don’t think having a husband and living in the same town/city is necessary for job security.
