Best doughnuts in the DC Metro area??

My daughter has decided she would like doughnuts for birthday party instead of cake. Something a cut above Krispy , dunkin and Safeway.

Any recommendations? Party is this Saturday.

Honestly, Wegmans. Sadly there are no real donut shops in DC but the donuts from Wegmans aren't half bad.

They had Montgomery Donuts when I was growing up and they were AMAZING! Too bad its gone

But I agree...Shoppers has a good variety and they are yummy!

Maybe you could find a specialty donut shop in New York and have some overnighted? Honestly that's probably going to be your best bet it sounds like.
