What planet do you live on?

There is nothing better than a hot Krispy Kreme donut. Dunkin' Donuts shouldn't be allowed to make donuts, they are horrible.

Shoppers.

See if you can place an order, the one by us in Rockville is super nice and once she didn't have the flavor I wanted and made it for me on the spot.

Thank you so much for all the recommendations. I am going to try shoppers and the Heidelberg bakery because it's not too far from where I live.

The kid wants nice donuts and there's nothing nicer than grocery store donuts and Dunkin Donuts here! It's not an outrageous suggestion, OP would probably spend as much doing this for a couple dozen donuts as on a nice bakery cake.

OP- I just wanted to say that I think its adorable and a great idea your DD had to get donuts instead of having cake for her Bday party!

I hope she has a great day and enjoy the donuts!

Heidelberg donuts are far and away the best donuts I have ever had.

I haven't tried them in years because the last few times I did (and it was a few times because I thought maybe I just kept catching them on a bad day), there were blobs of saturated fat grease on the surface

Slice and Dice in Crystal City has Montgomery Donuts.

I actually think that Krispy Kreme, fresh off the conveyor belt, is better than anything that's been sitting around for a day.

If you can find out when KK makes its batches, I'd get them as close as you can time-wise to the party.
