| tell the truth. was your dyson worth it? is it that much better than other vacuums? |
|
Nope...especially the hand vac...both of my hand vacs died and the upright hose got a hole in it. The upright did have great suction than never failed...but the other parts started failing.

| I wonder if they can suck up apostrophes. |
| yes! i LOVE my dyson!!!! |
|
All I know is I clicked on this topic and now there's Dyson banner ads all over the place!
We have an upright and like it, a lot. But we got it on a black Friday sale so it was a decent deal. |

I don't see a huge difference, but we don't have a dog and DS is still pretty young. My cleaning lady, though, does not like it. She prefers the no-name $100 one I bought at Bed, Bath and Beyond when I moved to DC and needed something for my teeny apartment that I lived in alone, and I'm pretty skeptical it was possibly a better vacuum.
Two things I do like about it are the no filters and the canister is super easy to empty. |
| Love my Dyson! |
| I love mine but it's been a number of years, so I don't know whether the competitors have caught up. |
| miehle > dysons |
| I agree that Miele is better. Repair shops told me they see far more Dysons and they can be very expensive to repair. |
| I borrowed my mom's Dyson and hated it. It was fine for floors, but it was incredibly unwieldy when using hose with attachments for cleaning moldings, corners, etc. |
| We bought ours 7 years ago and it is still running great. knock on wood. |
| Roomba! |
|
We've had our Dyson for 4 years, and I love it! Better than any other vacuum we've had, but maybe that's because we've had other cheap vacuums, and finally spent the cash on a Dyson.
I've always wanted to try a Roomba, but when I look on Amazon they seem to get mixed reviews. |
| My MIL purchased mine for me and I must say that for the cat fur that my 2 cats produce, it is better...much better. |
