He obviously does not care about children even his own. Anyone who can torture a child for money should go straight to hell.

Too bad DC doesn't have the death penalty.

Federal charges for kidnapping, conspiracy, etc -- with murder death penalty is an option.

Killing a person who does this can't even come close to making things right. Who even cares about that? Can't bring anyone back. I just hope they catch him before he kills any witnesses or anything.

I live about six blocks from the home. I know the sound of the veep's choppers and these are not the same. FWIW, the choppers flying in NW usually fly particular routes and the only ones in our n'hood are connected to the veep.

Entirely possible the gasoline was found at the home. But still think there's at least one other perp.

They didn't cross state lines in the kidnapping...

If there's another perp I don't think he is connected to the family either. More likely just a good friend of the guy they know of.

His younger brother is another fine upstanding community member. He was charged with "robbery with a dangerous weapon", "assault in the 1st degree", "assault in the second degree", "use of handgun to commit a violent crime", "robbery", "theft over $500", "conspiracy" and 2 counts of intimidating a juror or witness.

Maybe his brother gave him some tips or was a co-conspirator.

Ah, racial profiling at its best

and it might have saved 3 lives if it were done more blatantly

Do you mean 4 lives? I know the maid's life doesn't have the same weight of her employers and son, but can you at least pretend?

I, along with so many others I know, have been so upset by these reports of possible torture. I wondered why the police would have released this -- it seemed gratuitous.

But now I think perhaps the police deliberately released this information so that when they named the suspect, chances would rise that no one will harbor him and in fact will be more likely to turn him in.

In one of the first reports, a man was outside the house with the news crew & police saying his brother had been working at the house earlier on heating, but didn't know where he was/ hadn't been able to reach him... still MIA - possible connection?

He drove the car to md, they wired money from a bank presumably not in dc. Can these be hooks?

I feel like I personally broke this case through my exhaustive refreshing of this thread over the last 72 hours.

Where do you see something about money being wired?

If the Porsche left at 10:30 as has been reported and SS made a phone call at noon, that basically guarantees a second perpetrator.

How about the authorities worry about catching him and any accomplices before figuring out if they can kill him or not.
