They don't play favorites to legacy VRSC players, they are legacy FCV players who aren't good enough. There are plenty of 2nd teams players that deserve GA spots over the girls that came from FCV.

That’s laughable🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It will be a great way to destroy the club. 5-6 players on each team must be moved down or these teams will remain uncompetitive. Now we know why the players adds have been sooooo poor.

We are in this same position. Our DD received an offer from NVA and SYC for GA1. She prefers to stay with her team, but doesn’t know where she stands. They are telling us we have to let them know this week.

are you not following the comments? VRSC hasn't told them anything and they have to accept/reject the offers from NVA/SYC this week. So should they stay at VRSC and assume they have a spot or accept NVA/SYC's offer?

I don't know the typical communication at VRSC, but if they're not letting you know if you're on the team next year, it might be best to take the other offer. The whole a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush...

Yep..we are in a similar position. If she does not get her GA1 official offer from VRSC by Tuesday, we will be forced to take another GA1 offer elsewhere. It would be a shame because she wants to stay.

Seems like an easy enough decision, go where you're wanted. Kids will be kids and make friends on whatever team their on. Depending on the age group I'm not going to hold up my decision in order to play on a lesser talented team that drags their feet when you have potentially better teams beckoning your kid to play for them lol.

Well, I'll be! You hit the nail on the head. It's those FCV players, I tell ya. They keep gettin' chance after chance, bein' made captains and whatnot, while the gals who were originally in the club don't get the same shot. It's like this club's turnin' into FCV 2.0, y'all.

Maybe, we need to bring some oranges to explain what we’re talkin' about to this person On another hand, I hear ya and I agree with ya. We’re gonna have to bail if we don’t hear by tomorrow.

You sound just like my better half...hahaha We're also planning to accept the other club's offer if we don't hear back by tomorrow.

In almost every case on every team, the FCV players destroy the legacy players in skill, ability and iq of the game. If you're the parent complaining about this situation, your DD is likely the one who will be booted if it has not already happened. Some of these players who were mistakenly given GA1 spots during the confusion are already gone. Fortunately for the reasonable players (and parents), there will be a viable second option with Aspire this year.

If there are any former FCV players who aren't good enough, they should be moved down or given the option to play ECNL or GA somewhere else. Don't hold on to them to build a weak Aspire team, they won't be happy with that anyway. As I see other posts here, many players already considering taking offers they've been given elsewhere to continue playing either GA or ECNL.

Wait it out, she may get one.

Talk to your coach, versus posting on a forum about your issue.

Well, bless your heart. Looks like someone's feelin's got hurt. It's mighty interestin' to see ya claimin' to know what's goin' on with every team. I'll tell ya straight, I don't pretend to know everythin' 'bout all the teams, just speakin' 'bout the one where my DD plays. Now, there's one gal from FCV who sure deserves to be a starter—she might not have the sharpest soccer IQ, but she's earned her spot fair and square. But the rest? Especially the one who plays the whole darn game, I can't quite wrap my head 'round how she manages to be a starter and get all that playin' time. Just so we're clear, sugar, I ain't tryin' to hurt your feelin's. I'm just havin' an open-hearted conversation, and as always, remember, "if the shoe fits, wear it."
