VRSC

Wow, classy VDA parents! LOL. Yet VDA 09s could only win 3-1 against VRSC. And then only manage a tie against Wilmington and Courage? Guessing you are just upset as it has been a very tough start for the fall without your USYNT players. You have a coach who is great at recruiting both bringing players in and exporting them to college...regardless if they deserve to be on that level or not. That is his job.

As for VRSC, I agree maybe not much, if any P4 talent, but some of those players will likely play at small and Mid Major D1 schools. Maybe some go to High Academic DII or DIII. Dunno, time will tell. Doesn't matter as maybe one, maybe two from DMV will play professionally. Funny thing is some of those DIII players will make more money fresh out of college than any of the D1 players or professional players. That is why your post and opinion above means 100% absolutely nothing. But hey, if you like posting meaningless rude opinions about teenage girls, keep on with you bad self.

A 3-1 score in football is not considered a close game. The losing team wasn't drubbed but the winning team won by a comfortable margin and likely wasn't concerned about losing.

There are no "high academic" Division II schools. That isn't to say they are all terrible schools. Some are "Ok" but that is about it academically. Yeah, some of their better teams are better than lower DI teams on the playing field. Same as with some of the best DIII teams. However, most kids aren't going DII for learning reasons, unless it's because they are a decidedly average to below average student who can't get into a better school.

You type a lot but say very little of anything with substance or truth to it.

Who forcibly removed him? Jim got tired of Niko’s incompetence?

There are other reasons he was removed. It will all start to come out.

He is still around

No, the poster is right. Not much talent there and the coach just yells and demeans and not much else.

.The 2011 coach was demoted to rec because he was just as bad or worse.

I am not linked to this club or Loudoun, and have just casually skimmed this thread. I think people are put off by VRSC because it seems like they are just buying their way into trying to be a so called elite club instead of building a reputation somewhat organically. Most clubs start out in a more humble way, not with buying access to super nice expensive facilities and a league meant to lure parents in based on name recognition (particularly on the boys side). And the people who seem to really be drinking the Kool Aid are the image-focused, striver Loudoun County parents that many others find annoying to deal with in their kids' sports and activities. Strong "bro dad" energy where the main topics of conversation are kids sports, drinking, and home renovations.

Long story short, VRSC is kind of the epitome of what a lot of people feel is wrong with youth sports these days.

Talk about hitting the mark, this poster nailed it. I’m a VR parent and I’ve always disliked the environment, but couldn’t quite put my finger on why. The truth is, VR has always lived in the shadow of Loudoun Soccer. Instead of focusing on soccer, they put all their energy into outshining Loudoun in everything else, facilities, image, status. It’s basically a reflection of the county: plenty of money, and a constant competition over who can have the nicest things. It’s the same families hopping from one new subdivision to the next. Take a quick survey on golf cart ownership, and you’ll get the picture.

Unfortunately, pay to play IS the new model.

That's because the owners kid was dropped a team by LS some years back, and since then he's made it his mission to outspend LS to try and outshine them.

It's not a bad thing to try to outshine loudoun soccer. They weren't doing a very good job of developing kids either. Now what you have is a replacement of bad with more bad. Noone really wants to coach youth soccer unless they don't have anything else going for them. Pay me 150k to be a coach and it becomes an option.

He coaches one girls team, the 3rd team for that age group. My beat is when they find someone to take over as coach he will be done with that too. You’ll see when all the messiness starts leaking out.

His child was only 2nd grade when he started VRSC and in rec.

Aren't NVA/Loudoun/VRSC paying that to directors? Even more if they coach?

Dropped from rec? Wow!!! I did not know that happens. I thought let every kid play no matter how terrible they are at the game.

I just looked the team up that NE coaches it is the U11 Pre GA team so that is the 2nd level team in that age group.

Pre-GA is top team
Then there is Pre-GA2 and Black

GA starts at U13 so U11 and U12 top teams are Pre-GA

Oh, my mistake I didn't realize this age group didn't have GA. I don't have a girl in soccer there, sorry about that.
