I think about an episode with esther perel...a couple who started as an affair who later married, he too had a ton of vices. She said to the woman, "it must make you feel special...to imagine YOU will be the only one who can change him...only for you will he change." It exposed a lot if her magical thinking and desire to be special. Dynamics feel similar

Please help me find this Esther Perel. I'd love to see the whole thing.

When they married in Vegas with her kids present and her wearing a dress from the movie they did together, I thought that was sweet and very appropriate. The three dress multimillion dollar spectacle at his ‘plantation’ was just gross. It’s gross to make a spectacle of yourselves when you both have multiple marriages under the belt. It’s gross to spend so profligately on a single day when so many fans are struggling to make ends meet. It will all be 100x grosser if they’re divorced within five years, which is certainly a statistical likelihood. Ewwwwww.

NP, but it’s a podcast. So good.

I don't have Spotify, so I listen to Esther Perel on the podbeam app (for podcasts). Her podcast is called, "Where Should We Begin?" The specific podcast i referenced was on
October 24th, 2019, entitled, "A Small Town Affair." She helps the woman connect the dots on how she felt ike the constant, and the special one with her father and now was replaying a similar dynamic with her flawed partner. I recommend the whole episode at about 50 minutes but the insight comes around 39 minutes. Hope that helps

I cannot in any scenario imagine skipping my brother’s wedding just because my kid was starting college around that time. Of course my parents just put me on a plane at the airport with some bags and waved goodbye. But with the amount of money Casey has, it seems like he could have made a wedding in Georgia and then been able to turn around a quick flight to get his kid to wherever. A subsequent people article suggests he was at his younger kid’s soccer game so….really seems he just did not care to attend.

Probably...what brother wants his brother to be someone's fourth husband? Is that the kind of thing you can say to your brother? Probably not. So yea, you sort of avoid it and them. Maybe he knows he's not clean and sober, maybe he has feelings for the new partner, maybe he's exhausted by his brother's issues. There could be many issues involved.

No, last week before my kid moves out? Last time it truly feels like he lives there? Yeah, I’m not missing that and hurrying it along for a wedding that won’t last and when my brother didn’t bother to care whether I attended or not. If the kid isn’t a freshman, I agree with you totally that he should have gone.

Ralph Lauren is a genius at what he does!

And J Lo looked amazing.
Her skin glowed like an amazingly estatic bride and her smile shows how happy she feels at this stage in her life.

It took fifty-three to be in such a glorious stage in her life - but she finally is with her Happily Ever After.
She had to kiss a lot of toads 🐸 first but it was all worth it in the end!

She was a beaming bride whose physical beauty just cannot be touched.
If this is 2022’s version of 53 >> then sign me up!

Everything about these two- the nude social media pics, the smoking like a chimney, the multiple white wedding dresses, constant need for attention, is just gross.

Completely agree that the three RL dresses were amazing and that JLo looked (and often looks) stunning - not even taking into account that she’s 53. Strongly disagree that Ben Affleck is her happily ever after!
