Why are sky high platform heels so popular now and just who is wearing them?

Me, because I like them for evenings out. I spend my days with the kids in flats, but I'm 31, attractive, and don't see why not when I'm dropped of and picked up at the door of a restaurant.

Me too, but I'm 36. We go out to nice places in DC. I wouldn't wear them to Buffalo Wild Wings in the suburbs.

I am all for a pair of nice heels... But the platform one? There is a word for that and it is "stripper shoes".
Especially when skanky girls wear them with jeans. Gross.

Wear a nice pair of heels, but not the kind with the 3 inch platform up front--- it's gross. Especially if you are going to a respectable nice dinner in DC/Georgetown. Dress nice--- dress beautiful, don't dress like a stripper.

My husband wants the stripper at home swinging around our 4 poster bed, he doesn't want to take the stripper to 1789 in Gtown.

I think they are trashy. A small platform to me is on trend but classy, but the giant platforms look silly and slutty IMO.
