| Some of them look to be about 6 inches high or so. They look like street walking shoes. Really uncomfortable looking. |
| Except streetwalkers actually CAN walk in them. I see more women hobbling and stumbling and stomping their way to work these days. Hilarious. And so not attractive. |
| People who don't value their ankles. |
| Me, because I like them for evenings out. I spend my days with the kids in flats, but I'm 31, attractive, and don't see why not when I'm dropped of and picked up at the door of a restaurant. |
Me too, but I'm 36. We go out to nice places in DC. I wouldn't wear them to Buffalo Wild Wings in the suburbs. |

I am all for a pair of nice heels... But the platform one? There is a word for that and it is "stripper shoes".
Especially when skanky girls wear them with jeans. Gross. Wear a nice pair of heels, but not the kind with the 3 inch platform up front--- it's gross. Especially if you are going to a respectable nice dinner in DC/Georgetown. Dress nice--- dress beautiful, don't dress like a stripper. My husband wants the stripper at home swinging around our 4 poster bed, he doesn't want to take the stripper to 1789 in Gtown. |
| 18:38, you are officially old. You have crossed to the other side. You don't get it. You are your mom who balked at wearing blue jeans to dinner, even when you told her it was a trendy restaurant. She told you only trash would wear blue jeans. Accept it, embrace it. |
| I love my platform strappy sandals -- so much more comfortable than regular high heels and they make my legs look great! |
| I have never seen a woman wearing platform heels who looked good in them. They look like they want to be ugly and uncomfortable. |
| I think they are trashy. A small platform to me is on trend but classy, but the giant platforms look silly and slutty IMO. |
It is possible to be young and dress with sophistication and polish. |
| They are over. |
why? You can't walk from the lot to the door in these?
|
You and your husband suffer from the Madonna/whore complex.
