St. Lucia is probably one of the more expensive Caribbean islands, but these prices sound really high considering it does not include airfare or is all inclusive. If you read the policies as well it says that "Some Rooms Have Air Conditioning". I think you could find a much better hotel deal on the island. Just glancing to compare, I found 4 star hotels for $257 a night, which would be $600 or $700 cheaper with presumably much nicer accommodations (and air conditioning).
