Testify where?

She will likely be interviewed by the FBI and tell them what she knows

Did you know she doesn't want to speak under oath?

Serious question: does the FBI conduct interviews under oath?

Red herring. Lying to the senate carries the same legal penalty as lying to the FBI. Leland already provided her statements under penalty that she does not know Kavanaugh.

Thank you for clarifying.

“I know Kavanaugh is lying and Ford is telling the truth, but Mitch says I have to vote yes anyway. Why do I have to be the Mark Judge of this hearing?”

It’s a felony to lie to the FBI. I think they tell you that when they interview you.

Yes, and these people can all decline to speak to the FBI because there are no subpoenas.

Yeah, you're missing him lying under oath

Also about his sneering, dismissive orneriness at being asked questions under oath. It's clear he doesn't think these juvenile escapades are anything other than boys being boys. So we all had an inside sexual joke about a girl named Renate we liked to characterize as loose, wink wink, nudge nudge, wouldn't any red blooded boy act the same? Who cares that she was a living, feeling human being.

Has anyone interviewed Renate?

NBC is reporting that the FBI can’t talk to Safeway employees, anybody at Yale about his drinking, and can only interview people on a WH approved list.

Time for Flake to step up. This is not what he called he demanded. Or, he could just vote no with the small group, but I’m not counting on that. If this is true, it’s not an investigation, just a political stunt. Some FBI resignations might be in order, too.

A reporter. Renate was horrified by Kavanaughs quote.

False.

Renate is one of the 65 women who signed a letter supporting Kavanaugh. She has not retracted her support.

And he apologized to her. In public. On TV. In front of the senate. I think he would have apologized to Ford if he had actually done anything.

Diane Feinstein apparently got the Holton Arms alumni list, to email everyone asking if they have anything that might be helpful.

What’s strange to me is his rampant lying.

“Boofed” in the 1980s was a term that often referred to anal sex, and that is how Judge Kavanaugh’s classmates said they interpreted his comment. They said they had never heard it used to refer to flatulence.
Similarly, they said that they had never heard of a drinking game called Devil’s Triangle, but that the phrase was regularly used to describe sex between two men and a woman. “The explanation of Devil’s Triangle does not hold water for me,” said William Fishburne, who managed the football team during Judge Kavanaugh’s senior year.

“Our senior yearbook pages were a place to have a little bit of fun with commemorating inside jokes,” said Bill Barbot, who overlapped with Judge Kavanaugh at Georgetown Prep, an all-boys Catholic school. “However, the spin that Brett was putting on it was a complete overstatement of the innocence with which they were intended.

“Have you boofed yet?” He asked. What 16 year old hasn’t farted in 16 years? An obvious lie.

As I expected. This “investigation” is window dressing to show all the angry women who have suffered from sexual violence that the GOP “cares” about them.

The investigation is a sham, controlled by the White House, So no new leads can be followed, Swetnik and her classmates will not be interviewed, the FBI will only interview a list of people the White House gives it.

What a joke!! Flake should have specified that the FBI must be given unlimited freedom to subpoena and compel witnessses to testify.

The FBI can’t even look at Safeway’s records to see when Judge worked there!!!

A total sham investigation and a joke.

I hope and pray the furious women vote these GOP bastards out of the Senate forever. This misogynistic GOP cannot continue in power.
