'21-22' DMV LACROSSE OUTLOOK

Fall ball is starting up and we'll get to see some of these kids. Seems like SJC is top dog by a lot but Prep and Landon will be tight in IAC. Are any teams really going to fall off or make a jump?

Fall ball is a joke.

These kids play way too much lacrosse as is.

Play soccer, run cross country or play football.

Being a year round lax bro won’t help little Johnny in the long run - maybe in the IL rankings

That's not reality in high school.

Fall lacrosse is fine in moderation. Still can play a fall sport and one game on a Sunday. Just don’t overthink the result and base that on spring results. Kids are on college visits, missing players, and playing all kids in games.

Dropping the other sports in HS didn’t hurt my little Johnny. Actually helped build team chemistry. His teammates and him are present everyday getting better together. Hence they WIN!! Playing many sports and being mediocre at all of them will not help your Little Johnnie.

Agree, if your son is only mediocre. Better play that sport year round.

If you look at some of the best players in the collegiate game, there is a strong correlation, most of them excelled at 2nd sport in HS.

If your son is a mediocre athlete, I'm sure the dozens of club programs out there will gladly take your monthly check and promise the "college dream"

Was on another thread trying to school someone on the realities of the '21 ' 22 '23 outlook. Bottom line is 40 inch length limit (illegal pocket, via STX/Brine outs) separating are over. Totally over. Bye-bye. When you compares the 21s with the 22s and 23s you're looking at a big deficit. Crease matriculation is totally overrated now, not to say it wasn't earlier but getting out of hand. That said, attack-defense switch offs are getting bette.r But still, what happened to fun and honest competition?

Gonzaga has gone "in-house"

Landon did the same thing as did PVI earlier this year.

That's open to debate. The PIV thing started long ago with near offsides on a clearing defenseman when center middle failed to throw his stick in the air. Just holding it "aloft" doe snot cut in D1-aspirational crease dwellers. Illegal pocket means legal rocket. LOL
