When you have an entourage of people taking care of all the stress inducing issues in life - finances, household management, child rearing assistance, business management, etc. - then it’s totally possible to work a rigorous schedule while maintaining mental health management.

This is important. Brittney isn’t managing any aspect of her life or performance. She is just remembering the dance steps and dancing is something she loves. She isn’t even signing and dancing.

But where is the evidence that she is bipolar or severe mental illness? I’m sorry, I just don’t buy this. It’s speculation by complete strangers.

She was admitted for treatment during her initial public breakdowns in 2009. Why do you think her records need to be public? Why do you think the conservatorship was ordered?

People can recover from mental illness.

Apparently Brittney has not.

I saw this article today and, given Britney will be in court tomorrow, I thought now might be a good time to discuss. The main takeaway from the article is that a slew of court documents related to her case give credence to the suggestion in "Framing Britney Spears" that Britney wants her conservatorship terminated and absolutely does not want her father in charge of her life and finances. I have long thought her father was quite shady and "Framing Britney Spears" did nothing to disabuse me of that notion. From the NYT article, I found this quote particularly troubling:

Through a lawyer, she called the father-daughter relationship “toxic” and said it was “time to start fresh,” adding that Mr. Spears had referred to his daughter as “a racehorse who has to be handled like one.”

PP beat me to it. The specificity of this is ridiculous.

How is information from confidential court records being leaked?

What I don’t understand is, if she has really wanted to end her father’s role in her conservatorship for years, why hasn’t she made that abundantly clear?

Also, is there any precedent for a working professional who is making millions per year living under a conservatorship like this for years and years? I’ve never heard of one.

Heard some where once a conservatorship is in place it’s hard to remove. This isn’t her only problem. She lost custody of her kids long ago. Why isn’t she fighting for them?

I think she is aware of her own limitations. She doesn't even really seem to have a problem with being under a conservatorship, just that her father is the conservator. Her kids are teens now and would have a say in where they live. They seem to be doing well, fighting for them would be a lost cause and likely not in their best interests at this point in their lives.

I wonder if she is being controlled through use of psych drugs. It’s just such a weird story. Never heard of anything like it.

How is Britney worth only $60 million?

Ask her father. She's made $100 million since the conservatorship started on top of the $50 million she already earned. Its going somewhere and she's certainly not spending it.
