I think it would have gotten down to McConnel and/or Pompeo but I get fuzzy who it goes to after three levels down. |
Then how do you explain so many vets being in the mob? I don't think all military are bad, but I don't think they are all Captain America either. |
It would have caused complete chaos and created opportunities for Trump. |
McConnell is not in line. After president pro tempore, it's Secretary of State, AG, SecDef, Treasury. I doubt unconfirmed/acting officials would be eligible, so it's go to Pompeo, then Mnuchin. |
Sorry, Treasury in next after State, then Defense and AG. |
+1 And we cannot rely on the patriotism of the GOP leaders to do anything right. Unless their feet are almost literally held to a fire. |
Yes there would've been chaos. What opportunities? You mean political and financial? He still has those anyway. He might not have the former if the Senate actually takes away his right to hold office. |
Thank god tomorrow is Miller's and the other loyalists' last day! |
are you always this smug? I bet you thought that institutions will protect us in 2016. you are part of the problem. |
Rocket expert needs not respond to demands from you or any other anonymous “poster”. Rocket science is a thing. And while thrown out as a common trope to contrast simple science, this ain’t it. |
Interesting, if a question. To which I would say, depends. |
People are idiots. The parking lot is full because the Pentagon needs to keep working and no one wants to take public transportation. I mean come on now. Common sense y'all |
NP. The US doesn’t maintain a mobile ballistic missile force like the Russians. The last time we did was the Pershing II and those were only based in West Germany in the 80s and were intra-theater weapons not intercontinental. The missiles seen here were most likely Patriot or THAAD and those systems are both employed in the AA and ABM role. Like others have pointed out, there are sites throughout the country that protect major population centers and other high value targets. Neither Patriot nor THAAD is nuclear armed. In fact neither system now carries any warhead but specifically relies on kinetic energy to destroy its target. Sheesh. |
