Ashburton has over 950 kids. That is way too many for an elementary school. And whenever anyone does advocate for a W school, DCUM accuses them of being wealthy, white, whiny, women. |
Yeah, that doesn't mean you're "not allowed" to advocate. And you're assuming low-income and POC families are never dismissed or ignored when they advocate. It's like white people who complain about affirmative action for POC without realizing this entire country is built on affirmative action for white people. |
So what? Have the courage of your convictions. Stand up for what you believe in. You're not doing this for plaudits on DCUM, after all. Do you think people never say mean things about people who advocate for schools that aren't affluent Bethesda/Potomac schools? |
| I can't speak for anyone else, but I never say anything bad about anyone advocating for the needs of their school or their student. Why anyone else would, is beyond me. Don't you think every school in the county has needs? I do, and why would I put anyone down for advocating for those needs (I do not)? |
The gap between Dasgupta and Austin has grown to 7,227 votes. Harris: 37,159 Dasgupta: 24,828 Austin: 17,601 |
| I guess it's Dasgupta or a lottery to determine where your kid goes to school. |
That's a lie. Stop lying. |

Have you not read the email that Lynne sent to JOF? |
"JOF"? Your obsession is creepy. And yes, I've read the e-mail. That's why I know it's a lie. |
To think it was only a few weeks ago that Stephen Austin was strutting around on social media asking for a one on one debate with Sunil.
Is it still all about Stephen Austin on the "facebook group" or have they shifted resources to Solomon yet? |
Good! |
It's Steve Austin's Facebook group, so I'm guessing it's still about Steve Austin. |
He really doesn't strike me as someone who would step out of the limelight for the good of the cause. |
The cause is Steve Austin, so no. |
