This is Janet, and hey, I think that I see the biggest problem here. Not too many people on this thread has the balls to admit that y9u know, maybe, I'm a little bit less than right, and some other people can fully admit to being wrong. I went through the thread and had a hard time telling who started it or who finished it but I can tell you this much, those of you parents that might like ot think abiut the fact that the names k=like "fool" and "certifiBle" came from lovely parents such as y9urselves. Don 't ever try to make it appear that the providers were the ones picking on the poor, innocent mommies and the mommies were just trying to take the high road (an awful lot of you attached Judy,) You ladies seem to be taking delight in feek=ling sorry for the kids in our caqre and making assumptions that we are certifiable. I think yiou all have pretty shallow lives if the highlight of y99ur fday is hassling daycare providers that y9u haven;t met, and I know that there were instances of providers giving it right back, but if you guys want to pull no punches, then here it is. I think that there are a quite a few of y9u who do use more hours than are needed aand there are a few of you that think that your jobs are more important and respectablle than ours are. Hell, I don't even find that offensive because the more time that we get to spend with y9ur awesome kids, the more that they can see that we are there in the moment with us and that they matter.

Hi Janet. I am sure you are a loving provider. Bully for you.

I suspect based on the quality of your post above and the fact that you seem to have missed all the ridiculous things said about parents by the providers early in the thread in response to a simple question from a parent, which is in fact what started all the nastiness, that you may need help with your reading and writing skills. Come back and let us know what you think after you take some remedial classes.

The providers on this thread do sound certifiable.
The parents are justifiably offended by their nonsense.

did anyone notice that way back that judy trickett called her blog a "necessary evil". well, I agree with the second part.

For no reason, I know. Here she was, sweet as pie, just trying to be helpful, and the mean, mean mommies...

Please excuse the trying, the computer is at an odd and and I'm sure no one here has ever made a type-o (in my case, a whole lot) And at least I have thr gutd to use my name and I know that this is just a prime example of the ability for people to make rude, ignorant comments about the people who post here. I;m no geniud, but I knoe sarcasm when I see it. "Hi Janet. I am sure that you are a loving ptovider. Bully for you." and I am also aware that you are attacking my intelligence to. Typos are not an indicator of inteliggence. If you went through the prior posts, you would see that I never once caaled a parent a bad parent, I just thought that this was a place to discuss things and yet I get insulted. Honey, I don't need remedial classes because I;m plenty smart enough, and the one thin that I am smart enough to know is that I am loved and respected by my families And so what if I couldn't read, would that make me incapable of caring for children? Nope, it wouldn't make a difference. I think that yyou should alll know that your (not all of you, just some like the PP tht bashed me are mean, haetful, entitled, spolied brats that only want what they want it and aren't above insults that are uncalled for,. I'm not saying that the providers didn't have times when they could have responded better, but the parents also took the low road. Insult me as much as you want, I don't care, but understand that if you trast yiout providerway that you could be terminated just out of lack of repect for her. No one likes to be calledd stupid. I think that you are a mean, vile person who probably has a pretty shallow life,

Rave. vb. to talk wildly or as if in delirium.

Janet, Janet...come back to us dear...you're raving.
Your children need you to come back to reality.

The biggest problem here is the need for people to keep responding (myself included), it is the proverbial car wreck that we cannot look away from (thus contributing to miles of backed up traffic on the beltway). It is what makes DCUM, DCUM.

For those of you bored by this, there is a great time suck thread on whether Christmas is a religious holiday or not over on the preschool board. Just a little early Christmas present (the secular kind) from me to you. Enjoy.

Me neither.

The woman actually says in her blog:
I used to scoop poop from underwear of children who were not making it to the potty. Now I simply remove the clothes, poop and all, and place them in a grocery bag. At pick-up I hand over the package and request that tomorrow the child arrive in their Pull-up. It doesn't take long for a parent to meet the request when they go home and discover a warm, six hour old poop that has been sealed in a plastic bag. Hey, tough love is tough.

What an asshole.

You left out the part that Mommy insists little Johnny is potty trained when really that translates to: I want you to do it so I'm gonna send him in cloth underwear and let him pee and poop all over your floors until you finally get the child trained. But don't worry, when he's at home I'll put him in a pull-up, can't have PEE on MY furniture!

She didn't "leave out" anything. That's lifted from Judy's Mein Daycare Kampf. Take it up with your fearless leader if you feel something's been omitted.
