Kushner, Manafort and Don Jr. met with a Russian lawyer with Kremlin ties during the campaign

Meh. That says nothing about accepting opposition research from them with the intent of swinging the US election, though.

Tell it to the judge, Benedict Arnold.

They won't go down for treason. That's a pipe dream.

It'll be conspiracy. RICO.

So what will he do? Is it too late to save face by resigning? i think we are officially past the point of him tweeting something crazy to distract everyone. We are also past the point of having to sit and wait for congress to act. This is fbi territory now. How much more will it take to physically remove him from the WH? He is so reactive and unstable. It actually terrifies me that he is sitting and stewing over this while holding the nuclear codes.

I honestly think he would sacrifice the boys for Ivanka.

The problem for him is that Ivanka isn't clean either. They are all going down.

He will issue pardons for everyone, no matter what evil deeds come to light. The Republicans in congress will scream and yell, but I am not sure they'd have the spine to impeach him even then.

He cannot pardon himself. And much of the RICO stuff can be prosecuted under NY Law rather than Federal, which is not pardonable by the President.

He is trying to get the olympics here while we ban team members from certain countries, how does that work. Nice try at deflection though.

Ignorance of the law is not a defense anyway.

NP here. It's no defense, that's for sure. But I do think it's possible that they didn't realize what a very serious crime they were committing. I'm sure they knew it was sketchy but maybe didn't know it was treason. This is why we need politicians in politics. We need people who have studied the law and government and have experience governing. Rs thought they were being so clever and edgy electing an outsider, but this family knows less about government than my 5th grader. You should have to take some sort of aptitude test to run for office.

Didn't Comey let Hillary off over intent?

The law people thought she broke specifically refers to intent. Most laws don't.

We now know that he was guilty of intent. I'm certainly not saying he didn't know he was doing something wrong. Of course he did. Otherwise he wouldn't have lied about it. I'm just saying he might not have realized the magnitude of it. I'm not defending him. My point is that we need elected officials who have basic knowledge to do their job and surround themselves with people who know right from wrong.

This isn't Ivanka, he won't care. Seriously. Don Jr is f*cked and his dad will just cover his own ass.

If Big Don lets Junior take the fall, then will Junior flip on him? They've had a strained relationship in the past, right?

They don't even need Jr. to flip. Flynn probably did that long ago and when the evidence is as obvious as EMAIL DOCUMENTATION OF MISDOINGS, flipping no longer even serves any benefit to anyone prosecuting this. Manafort, Page, Kushner, the other kids- they're just screwed. They have nothing to offer in exchange for leniency.

No way. Big Don and surrounding family have conditioned those kids to roll over when it comes to their Dad. Unfortunately they also weren't born bright enough to break free of that conditioning, imo.

Don Jr. screwed himself:

Donald Trump Jr.?Verified account @DonaldJTrumpJr

Obviously I'm the first person on a campaign to ever take a meeting to hear info about an opponent... went nowhere but had to listen.

Doesn't he realize that ambiguity on the meeting purpose was his only defense?

Plus I'm sure the IOC are HUGE Trump fans. He's such a good deal maker. Sorry, Donny it's not happening.

Strange Twitter silence on Russia from both Crooked Don and Little Lyin Donny Junior. Maybe the dirty duo has finally realized that it's time to actually listen to counsel and shut up.

Just waiting for the full-frontal assault on Mueller to kick off. That's got to be in the works.

We need an administration that has basic knowledge to do their job and surrounds themselves with people who know right from wrong .

We don't have that either.
