Kushner, Manafort and Don Jr. met with a Russian lawyer with Kremlin ties during the campaign

Will this force him to resign? He won't sit back and let his child go down in flames like this. He sees his children as an extension of himself. If Junior looks bad, so does Trump. So what will he do? Is it too late to save face by resigning? i think we are officially past the point of him tweeting something crazy to distract everyone. We are also past the point of having to sit and wait for congress to act. This is fbi territory now. How much more will it take to physically remove him from the WH? He is so reactive and unstable. It actually terrifies me that he is sitting and stewing over this while holding the nuclear codes.

He is a lunatic narcissist who was utterly unqualified, unprepared and apparently fairly uninterested in the actual work of being President. Never would I have believed that I would look back fondly on George W. But I do.

Trump and his ilk do not believe in the rule of law, which---more than anything---is the foundation for American society and the reason that millions of immigrants from all over the world have historically wanted to reach these shores. They are attacking all the institutions that make us what we are---such as the independent judiciary and a robust and varied news media.

They need to go. If Pence and Ryan knew about the Russian collusion and/or approved Russian money going to the GOP coffers, then they need to go too. The GOP needs a reckoning---there are still a lot of GOP never-trumpers out there (e.g. Kasich) who need to stand up and speak out and excise this cancer from their party.

And the Democrats need to not gloat. Trump and his shameful criminal treasonous behavior diminishes all Americans, not just Republicans. Regardless of the extent to which the Russian cyber operatives swayed public opinion, there are still large swaths of the country who feel economically imperiled and vulnerable to Trump's con-man blandishments.

Amen, that was beautiful!

I honestly think he would sacrifice the boys for Ivanka.

The problem for him is that Ivanka isn't clean either. They are all going down.

This has to be, what, the 475,000th time DCUM liberals have thought 'this is THE thing' that will put Trump in jail. Y'all forgot your happy dance meme

I don't know if this is wishful thinking (what board are you on, PP?), but who cares? It's such a pleasure to imagine! Pence and Ryan would look nice in orange jumpsuits!

Oh good LORD

Ignorance of the law is not a defense anyway.

NP here. It's no defense, that's for sure. But I do think it's possible that they didn't realize what a very serious crime they were committing. I'm sure they knew it was sketchy but maybe didn't know it was treason. This is why we need politicians in politics. We need people who have studied the law and government and have experience governing. Rs thought they were being so clever and edgy electing an outsider, but this family knows less about government than my 5th grader. You should have to take some sort of aptitude test to run for office.

He will issue pardons for everyone, no matter what evil deeds come to light. The Republicans in congress will scream and yell, but I am not sure they'd have the spine to impeach him even then.

They are millionaires/billionaires, surrounded by lawyers. Manafort is no novice at this. And it sounds like Priebus may have been involved too. They either knew exactly what was happening, or they remained willfully blind to avoid asking any of the dozens of lawyers they have on staff.

Not buying it. A ten-year-old would know not to cooperate with a foreign power to affect the results of a U.S. Election.

This isn't Ivanka, he won't care. Seriously. Don Jr is f*cked and his dad will just cover his own ass.

States will find a creative way to go after them where Trump looses his power of the Federal pardon.
