Now you have a choice who to vote for

Vote for one Republican you lose that choice moving forward . That’s it . Either you want to continue to have a voice or you don’t.

Trumps coming for your guns and your rights. But again this time you have a choice that bunker he’s building says you will never vote again if you vote Republican.

If MAGA loses, the Dems take people’s voices (rather, speak for them while telling them to shit down and shut up). If MAGA wins, it takes our voices. It is splitting hairs.

They are in no way equivalent.

I’m tired of the one hair out of place and we’re kicking to the curb anyone who only agrees with 90-99% what whatever self-identifying Dem believes.

The Dems do not deserve my votes although they may get some. The message from them is clear. They care nothing about people only votes and cannot handle a diversity of opinions. They are no better than their major opposition. So, abstaining or splitting my ticket makes complete sense. I’m not going stay with a party that bullies me or others who may habit agree 100% on everything. If losing my vote leads to their loss, they too bad. They had their chance to listen, to welcome, etc. They exiled us. Live with it.

The good news for the Dems is that they will likely win in 2026 and 2028 because Trump is doing himself and MAGA in.

It’s not a popularity contest. You aren’t voting for people to make you feel good. You’re voting for officials who align best with your priorities. Either your priorities align with MAGA or they don’t. Either you want Trump to go unchecked or you don’t.

It’s not that deep.

Your parameters are wrong. A split ticket is what’s needed to align with my priorities.

So you do support MAGA. Got it.

I’m not at all. I can see you are not interested in anyone’s votes except purists.

Your bullying only reinforces my opinion that you’re no different from Trump supporters and that the Democrats cannot be fully trusted either.

Keep it up and you may lose more would-be straight ticket supporters in Virginia.

If you vote for MAGA you are literally supporting MAGA so…

Equating me to MAGA and implying that my comments on DCUM influence votes reinforces my opinion that you are completely irrational.

Wow, this is crazy. I wish people would not be this extreme, it's what makes me cringe and not feel comfortable stating my political position anymore. Politics is not a team sport. They are elected officials meant to represent us and what we would like to see. And yes, I am part of that group that will do everything possible not to have a casino since it affects me and my life directly. The "no boys in the girls bathroom" part, I am still thinking about. But the fear mongering that people are talking about that Trump is going to take away our right to vote and he will be president for another term is crazy. I wish folks would stop all that fear mongering because it make them sound crazy and that's not what the Democratic Party needs right now.

According to some posters, or poster, this is exactly what the Democratic party needs to be. Just as far left and conspiracy filled as the far right. It's rather funny.

....are you paying attention to what is happening around you? This is literally what is being laid out. Steve Bannon literally said yesterday to The Economist that Trump will get a third term: https://youtu.be/ijf7K_08YWk

If you think the Democratic party is far left, you need to read up. To ensure that you're able to do so, vote for Virginia's Democratic ticket this time around.

If you want to vote for conservatives who don't support Trump, get involved in politics now, and start loading the pipeline ASAP. You can't look up a month before an election and decide that none of the candidates mesh closely enough to your preferences, so you won't vote (well, you can do that part) and declare that this is someone else's fault (nope!). You let it happen. You're letting it happen to everyone.

The other PP is being hyperbolic, but the underlying concerns are real.

In his first term, Trump tried to get away with the Big Lie and no Republicans stood up to him. What will try to do this time around now that he has no guardrails at all?
