It’s clear with all the name calling and hyperbole on this thread that some VA Democrats are scared.
They should be. They fielded a mediocre candidate for governor, a weak candidate for lieutenant governor, and a disaster of a candidate for AG who is dragging down his ticket. Given Trump’s low favorability ratings, the Dems winning VA this year should have been a no-brainer. Instead, Spanberger is slated to win by a small margin against Sears — her whacko rival, Hashmi maybe defeats Reid (although I think there’s an outside chance the reverse happens), and Trump-loving Miyares is slated to edge out Jones. If nothing else, this all shows votes need to be earned — not assumed. |
Well said. Spanberger is still trying to find a job she can do well. It will be like having an intern as Governor. |
Just stop. 🙄 |
Thank you for this unbiased summary. I wish the Dems would take note of this and stop screaming you must vote blue or else the world is doomed. While that may well be true, they need more than supporters screaming insults and dismissing people who provide constructive feedback. |
Only because of a single issue; when Virginia’s electoral votes are on the line in the next big election, and Trump calls to “find 10K more votes” or send unfaithful electors or whatever else may come to his mind, what will Miyares do? That said, I absolutely despise Jones. He needs to resign immediately, if he wins, and let another D take his job, because he is a disgrace. But he won’t, because he is also an opportunistic pos. I think there was probably never a worse candidate for AG. |
Agree with you 100%. This should have been easy, but no. The assumptions the Democratic Party makes are their downfall. |
The PP isn't wrong so.... |
A mediocre candidate for governor? Please explain. |
LOL. DCUM fake dems don't "provide constructive feedback". The stakes are high. Voters are adults. And sometimes the truth hurts. |
Totally. Dems assume voters are rational and informed. That's why they struggle to win elections. Dems need to play dirty like the Rs. |
Yes, she is. I’m so tired by the emotion-driven sloppy absolutism. |
Perhaps not absolute but still not far off. Republicans support a lying, criminal traitor. |
| If you could pick only one, would you pick Spanberger for Gov or Jones for AG? |
| NP. Voted absentee - a split ticket. Least objectionable candidate for each position got my vote. I predict the election result will split between the two parties. I wish both parties had better candidates. |
| Anyone who votes for ANY republican for ANY position is a mouth-breathing moron. OP prefers fascism to a casino. JFC. |
