journalists have hated bari weiss since she began being a journalist. She is hated everywhere she works. IDK why cbs thought that was 'some kind of misunderstanding' just bc she had a popular substack. Like if you were going to have someone take over your plane company so you hired the designer of the 737max. sure they sold a lot of them, but it's still clearly a very very dumb idea.

bari weiss is coming up against the very really fact that in order to report news factually, you must report news factually, and that many outlets have been accused of bias because if you report news factually, you will naturally become critical of the trump administration by default. there is no way to run a news company filled with competent journalists without criticism of the trump administration without interfering with facts.
