A country should be able to decide who comes to its country. Illegal immigration is illegal and should be prevented. When caught, they should be deported.

Okay, being against illegal immigration is fine. But, how could anyone with a heart want millions of people to be deported from where they call home? Close the border for future illegal immigration but give amnesty to undocumented already here.

Democrats just open the borders and then demand amnesty for all the people they let in, with about half of Republicans going along with it.

At the end of the day, illegal immigration the poor already in this country. It’s about resources and to a certain, but lesser, extent jobs. Look at NYC which has been flush with cash for immigrants regardless of immigration status. People already existing on the margins in the city? Too bad for them, they are the true bottom of the barrel.

We need to enforce the laws we have on hiring companies, people crossing borders without permission, and people overstating their visas. We need to re-evaluate asylum laws and migrant / temporary worker programs. These things can be done rationally and fairly. We are doing neither now.
