That's a lot of trust...I could see this kind of endeavor going awry at much more cutthroat schools.

Yeah, and not just that, editing an essay doesn’t mean you know all the intricacies of a kids application. I’m telling you, you folks are just obsessed. You really might wanna tone it down a notch.

It’s possible that you and your kid has a difference experience than every other kid. My kid read full applications. Yours didn’t. Who cares.

At a private high school kids are going for full ride scholarships?

Of course.

No one is going to Haverford, Colby or Kenyon over Brown or Cornell. These schools are not in the same league. The top SLACs are Williams/Amherst then Midd

What a strange jump. Williams/Amherst aren't even the most competitive lacs to get into, and there's a lot of LACs to fill in before midd is even in conversation.

I know a Colby student who chose it over Princeton! Not everyone makes the same decisions as you'd expect. There's a lot of resources for the students at HACK, so they often made it into much more well known schools, but they enjoy the low-key environment.

Girl from DDs school chose Haverford over Cornell a few years ago. Humanities major and liked environment better.

NYC kids are typically very impressive and often with hooks too. I think there are 6-8 girls at The Spence School going to Harvard this year out of a class of 60! Half of Brearley’s class is going to Ivies + Stanford & MIT. Saint Ann’s, Dalton, Hunter, Stuyvesant all have excellent outcomes too. Nothing new there. These are their results (almost) every year.
