Petition to Rescind the appointment of AP at Rock Creek Valley ES

First, the decision for her son to testify is a parent decision. If she didn’t want her son to testify she should have not allowed it. He testified because parents permitted it.

Her son did not provide clear testimony and was clearly confused on the stand. I agree he should never have testified but that’s what the parents permitted.

The video is not clear. We all saw in the courtroom that Mr. Winter stomps his foot but we did not see any contact made. Moco360 has not been fair with the reporting of this at all. You cannot see any contact made.

The judge in making her ruling pointed out that the child does not react as if contact had been made. Mom provides clear proof of that when she shares the 8000 nerve endings which only supports the lack of a reaction and the judges decision.

If her son was in such intense pain why did he not see the nurse? Why didn’t the assistant principal send him to the nurse when she learned of the accusation. The AP admitted he never went to the nurse.

Mom is also slanderous to Mr. Winter expressing thoughts that he has harmed other children when there is no proof whatsoever that has occurred.

Again, I was in court that day heard the testimony, saw the video, and it was clear that this was a very poor case that never should have gone to trial. Judge Burrell clearly felt even in the most favorable light that the prosecution did not present clear evidence, nor witnesses that provided credibility that a crime occurred.

I also was in court and agree with this completely. Winter was acquitted and cleared to return to work by MCPS. He deserves to work again. People need to accept that and stop this madness!

Yeah what's important is to make it easy for MCPS to shuffle people who shouldn't be around kids to different schools. Parents should know their place and not question the safety of their kids.

I don't have a particular opinion on this case, but I do have an opinion on whether parents are part of the human resources team at any school. They are not. Just as I don't expect to make personnel decisions at Safeway just because I shop there, I don't expect to have a say in HR processes at mcps just because my kids attend a certain school.

Sorry you don't like it. In MCPS, it is imperative for parents watch out for predators in leadership positions because MCPS sure AF doesn't care.

Kudos to the RCV parents for standing up for their kids. Hopefully MCPS won't just place him in a low income school with parents less able to advocate.

Okay, that’s just BS. If this is the case, then why are parents included on interview panels for administrators? Parents are stakeholders. They are leaving their children for 6-7 hours in the care of adults. It’s reasonable for them to have some say. If I ever have to leave my kids alone at Safeway for hours and hours because it’s required by law (like compulsory schooling is), I guess I might want to be engaged in the HR processes there.

I don't believe there are interview panels for assistant principals.

I guess the RCV parents won.

Winter will not be principal and they did a fantastic job slamming his character all over social media.

Oh come on now. The point is that the community DOES have a huge say in everything that goes on in a school. As they should. Safeway does not have a PTA equivalent lol. Again, GTFO

This is a six-year-old special needs child 8 months after the incident who isn't going to be articulate. Your comments are bizarre and show you don't understand kids. You admit he stomped on the child's foot. He needs to be held accountable. He doesn't deserve to work in MCPS and should be fired based off your comments here. It may not be a crime but it was abuse and inappropriate.

That is nowhere near true.

Maybe this Rock Creek AP can sue for defamation.

I don’t know if this board remembers the scandal that happened in Pikesville high school in Baltimore.
