+1 I am not sure why they would do it this way. If the notices can go out at once, why not the scores too?

Each school requires its own calculation. This seems much more effort to get out than a test that every second grader took.

What do you mean? Why would each school require "it's own calculation"?

Each school has its own cutoff score to determine the top 10% based on test scores. Each school has a different number for top 10%.

FCPS website says they will be distributed to parent before winter break. FWIW. So maybe after school phones are off, they will post to ParentVue?

https://www.fcps.edu/academics/student-tests-assessments/grade-level-tests

No mail. No envelope in backpack. Not on parentvue.

4:35pm before winter break

This has nothing to do with why we are still waiting for cogat scores! That's about inpool determinations which is long behind us now.

It is still possible most schools who hadn't done so yet mailed out today.

Someone asked about the calculation. I was only answering her question.

I am still waiting over here. It is now after 5pm. Parentvue isn’t updated. My kid brought nothing home in backpack. We got our mail today and still nothing.

No scores yet for us. This is ridiculous.

USPS scan shows one mail from fcps coming today, hopefully that’s it.

We still don’t have ours. Why do they mail this during the busiest mail week of the year right when people are traveling???

Unclench. It’s really going to be alright. Let’s say you don’t get the scores for another two weeks.

Does it change how you feel about your kid? No.
Does it impact your child’s health? No.
Will getting them later make you miss a deadline? No.
Will getting them later make you lose precious time that you could be doing something different with your child? No.

This is about your anxiety and attempting to lower it by controlling the information. That’s all this is—the black hole of anxiety. Relax. Enjoy the holidays with your family. You’ll get the scores when you get them.

This response is pretty condescending. I’m not applying to AAP this year and am not waiting on the Cogat, but I can sympathize with parents. Everybody is eager to find out how their child did. It’s only natural. We know fcps has the information and is withholding it from sis, while some schools have sent it via mail or school folder. This makes it even more frustrating for parents who still have not gotten their child’s scores. Your post which acts like the parents are being unreasonable for being frustrated is not helpful.

Agreed. And this "unclench" poster either got her kid's scores or is perhaps one of the AARTs who didn't quite get the scores to their school's parents before winter break and thought their families should cool their heels while other parents already have the info. Either way, not cool!

I have two older kids and they received their scores in a timely manner. Then again, I was also not on dcum watching others get their scores while we get nothing. I may not have been waiting for them.

My child got NNAT in timely manner. I can’t even remember how we got the scores. I want to say it was on parentvue and then we got more details in mail.

Take a breath, Courtney. It’s going to be okay.
