Matt Gaetz tapped for AG

However I really hope the Democrats hoping to run in the future are not thinking and acting live the Democratic voters here. I mean some of you guys are just sitting around glued to your computers itching for "gotcha" "I told you so". We should let them govern with the mandate that they have earned and use their failures to hopefully convince voters to pick out side the next time around. But it looks like we have not learned our lessons and don't plan to do so. And guess what the results next time will be the same.

Umm...there is nothing we can do at this point. They voted for R to control WH, House and Senate. They got it. now we sit and wait to see what happens. Yes, we knew this was likely, that is why we voted against it. Unfortunately, there is not much we can do if the Senate confirms these people

Dang. This is like Kamala Harris picking Bob Menendez for AG.

He is not playing 4 dimensional chess. He has told you he who he is. Believe him.

Breaking: Matt Gaetz resigns. Can someone explain what this means?

If Trump appoints Gaetz as a recess appointment it will be chaos. But Trump likes chaos, so... It's going to be a mess and a Constitutional crisis as Trump uses the DOJ to destroy his opponents with or without Senate approval. Trump has taken his indictments very, very personally and it is vengeance that motivates him more than anything.

I was predicting impeachment #3 sometime in 2027, after the Dems take back the house. I'm now thinking it could be as soon as March.

I was just posting my theory on the other thread, and I think March too. They used Trump and will dispose of him quickly, and they’ll have the military on their side.

Oh this doesn't mean his next pick won't be just as bad. Maybe worse but less click-baity.

Did you read the article? Florida law requires a special election within 8 weeks to pick Gaetz’s replacement. They want Gaetz’s replacement elected by January 3rd, when the new Congress begins so Republicans can maintain control of their razor thin majority.

It won't happen but it would be so funny if they lost that election.

Great post.

I wish the campaign and election divisions would heal or at least be sutured and bandaged, and both parties would come together to take care of Americans. Really sick of the constant fighting.

Please. Half the country voted in the biggest bully of all time, who spews hate every single day, and it’s up to the Dems to play nice.

Sanewashing Trump got us to this place.

+1000.
I have no interest in “coming together” with MAGA. We’re two counties and until we separate geographically & politically I’ll keep fighting them

But….doesnt that make you the “insurrectionist” now?

I think you have to poop in the Capitol Building first. GOP is winning there.

If nothing else, the GOP would have to grow a spine and go on record for it. Obviously they can't rely on the Democrats to clean up after them this time.

None of even the trumpiest of trumpers that I know (my hometown is very red) has posted anything about Gaetz's nomination which is wild because they've all been bragging about the others.

As expected, no one wants to work with him.

Because everyone knows he feeds ecstasy to teenage girls, has group sex with them, and then tries to publicly pay them off via CashApp.

More likely scenario is that Trump dumps him and he’s stuck with no job 😂
