If your 29 wasn’t playing was your assessment based solely on the scores in tourney machine and not actually watching the games? Because everyone should know by now the score does not always give the full story of the game or a teams ability.

Any thoughts on updated rankings? YJ with a big jump to number 1

Did HG lose some players over the summer? They don't seem to be as dominating as previous years.

M&D black is clear #1, and YJ shouldn’t be in top 5. They played in the B bracket at LFTC, Tradition and Monster were the only decent teams they played all fall. Should look like this for top 10:
M&D
Coppermine
Team 91 Roar
Heros
NXT
Eagle Stix
Integrity
YJ
Monster
Top Guns

M&D DC and BLC got screwed by the rankings, they would be in next group just outside of top 10. They just need more consistency.

On Heros Green, they will be fine. New coaches and some other teams at top improved rosters. They will be ok.

They lost one D to SW and a middie to M&D, but they are still a top 5 team. They just played a buzzsaw schedule and are getting used to new coaching. They will compete with M&D and CM for top dog in mid atlantic.

NGLL starts soon, and predictions for mid-Atlantic? Heros, m&d, and coppermine are clearly top shelf with integrity nipping at their heels, but what’s the deal after that? Will any DC teams push them or make it to semis?

I agree completely, but what does that say about Cap Blue’s chances to be elite when they form next year? BLC and M&D DC are decent teams, but even if you combine absolute best of those rosters, they won’t compete with Heros, M&D, and CM. And Pride and 3d Metro are just meh, so will 29 Cap Blue just be a decent but not elite team?

I would pick the club that gives my daughter the best chances of being recruited for college. There is no one size fits all.

“Loyalty” should also not be a factor in determining which club to go with.

It looks like it still hasn't sunk in which way the wind is blowing on Cap and the future for the pumpers.
Wait until you see what (doesn't) happen(s) with the tryouts!

Unpopular opinion: capital teams aren’t that elite. They don’t have a single team in the top 10 currently and their 27 blue team isnt ranked that much higher than the 29 3d team that you consider just meh.

BUT, they are the best team in the DC area in terms of talent and recruiting history. If families aren’t able to drive to Hero’s or M&D Black, Capital is still the best local option. Where else would you play locally over Capital Blue? I can understand girls staying with their team over Orange though.

Capital is starting to show cracks. 27 and 28 teams are just OK. They do have a strong recruiting track record, but former teams had much stronger players too. The equal playing time has to go. It's killing the current teams.

M&D DC should hold tryouts same day as Capital for the ‘29s this summer.
