In the A&E doc, one of the things that pissed off the detectives is Scott giving one of the cops a coaster for his cup of water. He thought that was suspicious for a man who just lost his wife to do.
It’s ridiculous the stuff they came up with. They just didn’t like Scott. The entire family originally thought she was alive and maybe went into labor and was at a local hospital. Even Sharon Rocha, Lacis mom, criticized the cops and the reporters who implied foul play. The family thought Laci went into labor prematurely. |
If you think Scott was a loving husband who would never do this, that’s on you. Scott’s demands for a new trial have been denied for years. |
He’s no longer on death row. Baby steps. Maybe he will face a new trial and be free one day. You never know |
Why are so many claiming his innocence due to circumstantial evidence, when your reasoning he is innocent is based on conspiracy theories and circumstantial evidence?
Chris Watts was a "good husband" on paper until he murdered his family. This scenario is nothing new. |
Its called wishful thinking |
No. That's not happening. Unless there was substantial new evidence (including DNA mostly) that pointed to another possible suspect, its not happening ever. |
Murderers are unlikable. The spouse is the most dangerous person to a pregnant woman. Not stranger danger. Scott put a target on himself. |
Did the people who saw her arguing with these men testify at the trial? |
Those neighbors couldn’t even agree on the color of the van. White van, orange van, brown van, and these so called sightings went on for weeks even after she was reported missing. They were not very credible. It sucks for Scott that the bodies turned up right where he had been that same day she went missing. |
I think he's guilty, but if for some reason he didn't get a fair trial then he should get one. However, I agree with you that there are dozens of nonsensical tidbits that people cling to as a reason for his guilt. |
He had one of the best legal defense teams. He got a fair trial, he just didn’t like the outcome. |
There are some gross, trollish, people in here attacking Amber Frey, Sharon Rocha, and even Laci. Totally appalling. But you’re lumping everyone with concerns about this conviction together. Some of us are saying Scott was a despicable person, a bad husband, and probably a sociopath BUT we think there’s a chance he’s not guilty of murder and we would like to see complete DNA testing. Innocent people go to prison all the time. The system is a wreck. If he’s innocent of the crime, he shouldn’t be in prison, and there are plenty of things that are questionable with the conviction. When law enforcement resists DNA testing that’s a huge red flag to me. It’s a bad faith argument to accuse all people who have concerns about the process of thinking Scott is a good person. |
It’s also dangerous if a woman confronts strange men committing a crime. The spouse is the most dangerous when there is a history of previous DV. There was no history of DV with the Petersons. Laci loved Scott and would hate that everyone thought he killed her thanks to some loose tramp like Amber who didn’t even know who her kids father even was. That was the woman Scott wanted to leave Laci for? I don’t think so. Nancy Grace and the state had it all wrong. |
The defense didn’t prove it’s case. They never called the so called witnesses to testify about seeing Laci confront buglars, the medical expert did not confirm the baby was born alive, and the DV issue is not a fact. Scott was in debt, his business was failing, he had told some relatives he was hoping for infertility, he was having affairs, lying to the police and suddenly bought a secret boat and a few weeks later his wife and baby washed up right where he had been. The case is completely obvious. |
Omg. I’m sure Laci would be grateful her husband got what he deserved. |
