Tonight, I was on a zoom call sponsored by @WinWithBLKWomen attended by 40K energized Black women for Kamala.

They originally expected 1K. Then 3K. Then 18K. By the time it got up to 40K it was clear:

The Sisters are ready for battle.

This is very exciting. I hope that the Indian American women will become just as energized and do the same. After all, Kamala was raised by her Indian American mother and spent summers in India with her grandparents, why is she rarely discussed as Indian or Blasian.

She's hidden that and says she's black

Lies! She has never hidden her Indian ancestry.

Well played, dems.

Enjoy the wave, cuz it will all collapse as soon as she has to speak without a teleprompter.

People were really excited for Harris in 2020…and then she dropped out without getting a single primary vote. If she couldn’t handle the heat from Tulsi, how can she handle the attacks from the biggest bully in politics?

It’s simple math: the more people hear Harris speak, the lower her poll numbers get. Don’t believe me, just revisit 2020.

“You’re just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes,” Charli XCX said of the term in a TikTok video. “Who feels like herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like, does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.”

haha Kamala admits she does dumb things and parties and says dumb things, that’s brat.

Is it too late to get Joe back?

I’m not sure this party girl strategy is smart. I’d like Warren and AOC and Porter vibes.

+ 1

I really like Elizabeth Warren and I am sad I can’t vote for her for president. I don’t want to vote for a brat.

I voted for Warren in the 2020 primary and I was glad to get to. And now I’ll be glad to vote for Harris in the 2024 general, and since Warren gave Harris a rousing endorsement, you should be glad too instead of spinning off into right wing tones like you are.

I’m so sick of this. Dems were attacking me (haven’t voted GOP in 30 years) earlier in the year because I said Biden was too old and wouldn’t win. I’m the first pp and questioning if this strategy will work. In the past, we’ve had nerdy, straight-talking women show up with receipts, who garnered a lot of praise and votes. It’s not right wing to wonder if a “party girl” is a winning strategy since I for one don’t effing want Trump to win. This shut up and vote is really troubling, i.e. not a winning strategy since I’d like to bring folks over.

Now when will the Zoom call by Indian women happen? I’ll wait…

I guess that part of her identity isn’t as marketable…

We definitely have some work to do, but helping her get over the finish line will absolutely be worth it.

I’m calling it now, her inauguration is going to be EPIC

How old are you?

Apparently party girls can be 60.

Haha!!! Charli XCX is friends with Dasha and the Red Scare crew (look it up) but boomer women are so desperate to look cool that they are falling for this trap. This is not a compliment LOL!!!!!!

It’s embarrassing. Wtf is a Brat summer? Imagine if Trump said this is a bro summer. Dems have lost the script entirely . They are nothing but corporate tools now so they no longer represent the working man and woman and their needs

No talk of increasing minimum wage .

No talk of single payer/Medicare for .

No talk of affordable college .

No talk of universal maternity and paternity leave

No talk of equal pay for women (still not a law) but talk of erasing what women means to include men that feel like women inside

No talk of scientific gynecological research to solve the pain and issues women face that have not medically advanced like childbirth for example but talk of gender affirming care and hormone therapy for kids .

Solving endometriosis , cervical cancer , or PCOS though .. crickets.

I agree with this only because they’ve been using the Biden sunglasses up and that crazy fun vibe up until he quit. That was sooo manufactured, as we all now know.

Barack and Michelle haven’t endorsed her yet. Why else would they not? Literally everyone else has

Michelle won’t say anything until Barack does, and my guess is that Barack won’t say anything until Harris is the official nominee. Nothing new or surprising.

I mean, it's all been explained:

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/07/21/us/politics/why-obama-hasnt-endorsed-harris.html

Republicans interpreted that as a snub. But people close to Mr. Obama, who has positioned himself as an impartial elder statesman above intraparty machinations, said not to read too much into it — and had no alternate candidate in mind when he made the decision not to immediately endorse Ms. Harris.

Mr. Obama adopted an identical stance four years ago when Mr. Biden’s aides pressured him to endorse early in the Democratic primaries before Senator Bernie Sanders dropped out. (Mr. Obama’s favored phrase back then was “I don’t want to thumb the scale.”) Endorsing too early now would also be a political mistake — fueling criticism that Ms. Harris’s nomination, should it come, was a coronation rather than the best possible consensus under rushed circumstances, they said.

Instead, Mr. Obama sees his role as helping to quickly “unite the party once we have a nominee,” a person familiar with his thinking said.

He endorsed Biden weeks ago.

Nope.

I think it's smart. She's going to say some dumb stuff; she just has that tendency. Packaging it up in a light-hearted way is not a bad thing. If she can make it seem like something that young people get (even if that's not what this is), so much the better.

To be clear, it's not my thing-- but I'm not her target audience.

I heard her speak yesterday and thought she was fabulous.

This election is about looking forward, not backwards. No one wants to revisit 2020.

+1 Forward. So much to be proud for Dems, they had HRClinton smart woman, Harris as a front runner so far also smart not as experienced as HRC but even more fabulous!

Obama endorsed Biden after Biden had enough delegates to win the nomination.

Obama does not want to influence who the party picks, but will be 100% supportive of the party selected nominee. Why is this so hard to understand?

But the joke is that you can call her brat, but is she really brat? I mean, she is sharp as a tack. She was a former prosecutor and it showed when she questioned Kavanaugh. You don't get a future SCJ to cry about beer by being dumb.

She's smart and fun. That is a winning combination in my book. I loved Hilary. I love Warren and voted for her in the primary in 2016. I think both of them would have made excellent presidents and I will always mourn that they did not get to show that. I suspect Harris might be just as nerdy policy-wonky as they, are but it doesn't come off that way.
