From talking with multiple coaches and players in this conference, it Appears Robinson is the clear #1.

Outside of Robinson is seems like Woodson, West Po, & Hayfield this are the clear next best three and very even in talent this spring. It will be a three headed race between those schools for the last remain spot in states from Region C.

Assuming this is a different poster, interesting to see Hayfield get two mentions. Will be interesting to hear how they stack up with Yorktown and WestPo tonight.

They had 3 losses last year and were competitive in all except Patriot. Losing in OT to Woodson in the playoffs by 1. The question is can they take advantage of their weak schedule and go into the playoffs healthier than West Po and Woodson because they won't be more battle tested. That's for sure.

With an easy schedule Hayfield won't be battle tested heading into playoffs. However, they Benefit tremendously from being in the National District. By being the winner of the National district, they will enter into the Region C playoffs as one of the 1 seeds (N1). Which means they will be on opposite sides of the bracket from Robinson (P1).

What this means is that in the Patriot Conference Semifinals; likely West Po and Woodson will square off as the 2&3 seeds. The loser of this game (P3) will be placed on Robo's side of the region C bracket, which will likely result in their season ended being ended by Robo in the region semifinals.

However, whoever wins the Patriot conference semifinal matchup between Woodson and west po (P2) will have a clear path to get into the state tournament. All they would have to do is beat Hayfield in the Region C semis and they are in.

Well, hayfield game Yorktown won 3-1 at the half which was surprising. But they absolutely dominated west po, possibly like 7 zip at the half? No clue maybe even 10

Final was Freedom SR 11 - Woodson 7

Both teams looked pretty even. Woodson was man down the last 4 minutes of the 2nd half, and freedom capitalized with 4 straight EMO goals. Outside of that it was a stalemate.

As expected it was a little sloppy being preseason. But overall both teams looked good. FSR will definitely be a contender to make states again with battlefield in their region, and I expect Woodson to battle it out with West Potomac for the other states spot in their Region. (Robinson #1 seed).

Freedom was up 9-3 at the half, Woodson dominated possession the 3rd quarter, when both teams started subbing their benches. As the poster stated, Freedom took advantage of EMO opportunities in the 1st half. Both teams have some solid players, but there isn't much depth on the benches from what I saw. Freedom apparently lost both their Varsity Goalies from last season for the year, or significant amount of time to start the season.

Anyone catch Battlefield Riverside?

I’m confused - Yorktown beat Hayfield - what was the final? Did hayfield beat WestPo or Yorktown beat WestPo?

Final was 4-3 but it looked like Hayfield only played their starters while Yorktown was rotating 3s and 4s for the last half. That being said Hayfield looks tough. West Po score was just a blowout. 10>-1?

10-1 was Yorktown over WestPo?

Did Hayfield and WestPo play each other?

Basically a tie. I went with my son and he said Riverside was down 2 starting defensemen (who he has played with in club) and their fogo did not play either. Injury bug has seem to hit them early. Does not bode well for their upcoming match-up against Madison.

So... Riverside tied a really good Battlefield team (who beat Yorktown last week), without 3 starters...

Didn't see the game but saw on Inside Lacrosse instagram today a clip of LB's Fogo winning a faceoff, blowing up a Madison defender and scoring.
