I agree, should be separate threads, there's really no overlap except for scrimmage season. this incessant (and boring) Indy/Riverside back-and-forth is not interesting...

No and it’s just an extension of the pathetic Dulles South crowd. No wonder no one likes them and they arent good!

Say what you want but Dulles South is usually the top team in NVYLL

Because they have way more high schools feeding into their program than any other rec program (Briar, indy, Champe, Freedom and Lightridge).

You forgot Rockridge but if you combine any of the two schools they are still about the same size as Robinson or Lake Braddock so it not too far off of other clubs. Also most of the top DS kids end up at PVI. South eastern part of the county is still a good lacrosse hotbed

I always forget about Rockridge.

Langley 18-8 against St. Andrew’s starters on starters. 21-11 final.

That’s a lot of goals. What happened to St. Andrews? I thought they were pretty good last year.

Attended the Woodson vs Freedom South Riding Scrimmage tonight.

Final was Freedom SR 11 - Woodson 7

Both teams looked pretty even. Woodson was man down the last 4 minutes of the 2nd half, and freedom capitalized with 4 straight EMO goals. Outside of that it was a stalemate.

As expected it was a little sloppy being preseason. But overall both teams looked good. FSR will definitely be a contender to make states again with battlefield in their region, and I expect Woodson to battle it out with West Potomac for the other states spot in their Region. (Robinson #1 seed).

Thanks for the report. Sounds like those two are contenders for the bottom of the Top 10.

not that it matters, but the scoreboard operator forgot to count some Langley goals so the score was around 25-11. Two factors that explain the high scoring is that St. Andrews has a D1 commit goalie who did not play, and Langley won about 90% of face offs. But give credit to Langley's offense. they have 6-7 kids who can score and they all are unselfish, so they are hard to defend against.

WestPo over Hayfield by 3+

I assume Robinson is still tops in Region C, but who is the second best team this year? Seems like Lake Braddock will fall off the cliff. West Potomac, Woodson, West Springfield, South County?

Hayfield will be in the mix with those 4.

From talking with multiple coaches and players in this conference, it Appears Robinson is the clear #1.

Outside of Robinson is seems like Woodson, West Po, & Hayfield this are the clear next best three and very even in talent this spring. It will be a three headed race between those schools for the last remain spot in states from Region C.
