Name a song you think tells a beautiful story

Literally zero engagement with what other people have said. Everyone just listing their own stuff, many then (like me) waiting for accolades on their taste or at least some kind of connection, but no. Next poster just indiscriminately firing their own ammo.

Nothing wrong with that. And OP asked for people to just “name songs”, but this is something that always bugs me about “sharing” music opinions or trying to talk about music with other people. We’re ALL primed to give our takes, but no one really wants to hear other people’s opinions.

Obviously not some mind blowing observation. But if we’re being honest I said Ode to Billie Joe pages ago and you late to the party basic B bandwagoners would just acknowledge that rather than post it anew as your own find we wouldn’t be in this situation.
k

OP here: start whatever thread you want. Everyone else understood what I was asking for: the NAME of a song. I actually wanted to hear the opinions of others (to my specific question), which is why I posted. People can agree with your Ode to Billie Joe, suggest it as their own idea, or come up with a different song. There is no right answer here!
