This one is quite a beautiful story and a beautiful song.

Yes it is. My mother died of Lewy Body, same as Robin Williams was diagnosed with. I understand why he took his own life after seeing my mother’s angry and cruel nightmare. This song is not about that, but about Alzheimer’s. Beautiful ❤️

The respect for their past makes this song so beautiful to me.

Yes. I adore this song.

What’s this about?

Growing up and the years going by. It's a song to his son. "And you're so much like me, I'm sorry" is a line I think about with my daughter often.

He was a man before his time. No one ever uses the term unwed fathers, but that's what they are.

Unwed Fathers - John Prine

From an teenage lover, to an unwed mother
Kept undercover, like some bad dream
While unwed fathers, they can't be bothered
They run like water, through a mountain stream

DP. It's a great song, but I can never keep straight what's in that song and what's in the very similar song Ben Folds wrote and produced for William Shatner.
