I would like the Prep Lacrosse Team and maybe the Prep Community to figure out how to treat the American Flag. In the first game vs Landon the Prep team came out of the locker room, did a half lap, and then whoever was carrying the American flag threw it on the Turf at Historic Fagan field. In the second game against Landon the Prep team came out of the locker room, did a half lap, and then whoever was carrying the American Flag gave it to some kid who then let it drag on the ground as he moved it around the bench area. When you carry the flag out of the locker room, RESPECT THE FLAG. DON'T LET IT TOUCH THE GROUND. WHEN YOU LET THE FLAG TOUCH THE GROUND YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO INSPECT IT FOR DAMAGE OR DIRT AND WASH IT. THE PROPER DISPOSAL OF A FLAG IS BURIAL OR SOLEMN BURNING. PLENTY OF PREP AND LANDON ALUMNS HAVE SERVED HONORABLY. THE LEAST THE PREP LACROSSE TEAM COULD DO IS RESPECT THE FLAG. OTHERWISE THEY ARE SIMPLY TREATING IT AS A PROP. MHO

You can’t believe that anti-MAGA stuff.

It’s almost certainly that they just don’t know the protocols surrounding the Flag. No one has taught them and there was no forum to deliver that message.

I’m a veteran and have had extensive experience handling the Flag. I didn’t notice this. But, I’ll make sure the proper person at GP knows of the concern which is legitimate. Instead of posting on an Internet BB.

Or dreaming up some far-fetched reason for it and posting that.

Totally right to dismiss the anti-maganazi stuff. It’s an extremely popular movement at the present time, with a highly intelligent, non-cognitively challenged and beloved leader.

Anyway, all that said, there’s no way this was some sort of protest. Just a kid who doesn’t know proper flag protocol. Oh, and the All Caps rants always land as serious and thoughtful points of discussion.

Crazy caps aside, I agree with this. Prep kids have American flags everywhere as if they are the only people who support the country. It reeks of faux patriotism and has some maga undertones. Just play the game.
Funny thing is, Prep would recruit an entire team of Canadians if they thought it help them win.

Both of the Bullis kids who are going to Hampton are legit. The Pirates have a DC native at attack who could play for any non ACC school in the country. They’re a mediocre fogo away from being an average team in a bad DI conference.
