Iran is lying about its numbers. It’s been digging mass graves and if we don’t stop all public gatherings soon, we could be doing the same.

Iran has covered up from the start. Some sources said their first death occurred six days before they reported it, six days in which they could have taken many actions, but they wanted to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic republic. Anecdotal evidence of how widespread this may be in Iran. Bahrain has negotiated to repatriate its citizens from Iran. On Wednesday, the first flight arrived. Out of 177 passengers, 65 or 45% had the virus. If one makes the assumption--which could be faulty--the the Bahraini evacuees were a random sample of people living in Iran, and applies the 45% rate to Iran's population, the number of cases would be 36 million. And then we have the 77,000 prisoners who were released, likely because of huge prison outbreaks that left prison officials unwilling to report for work. |
