Yep, for those who won't click on the link...... If what NBC said is true, why the hell was he following the bus (he ran a red light so he wouldn't lose the bus). What was his purpose for doing so? I hope they keep him locked up. |
How do you know? Based on NBC's statement? If he was not planning on photographing or doing anything else, why follow the damn bus? |
If you are interested, keep reading Twitter. The reason is explained. The reason is to find where the jurors are staying, find their cars and ultimately track them down for interviews later, after the trial is over. Whether you agree or not that it's a good idea, it's not tampering with the jury. |
A freelancer is not the same as an employee. Unless he was specifically hired by NBC to follow the vehicle and try to get photos of the jury, this was not done on NBC’s orders. More likely NBC engaged him generally to take photos for their coverage of the case, and he did this on his own initiative.
He probably will not get any more work from NBC going forward. |
It is. You don’t think the wack job posse outside the court would like to know that info? And then send some letters to their families that they know where they live or who they are? Jurors do go home at night. Shame NBC Shame. |
I’m sure you would be this measured a Fox News contractor… |
You don’t think CNN is taking the opportunity to try to trash a competitor? Especially since for some d@mn reason CNN is now suddenly become propaganda for the republicans? Read between the lines. If true anyway it’s not even that big of deal. |
“It’s not tampering with the jury, it’s stalking jurors to get their personal info and jeopardize their safety.” Um, okay? |
There's (more than?) one poster blowing a gasket about this. The rest of us can be measured. |
This is total BS. Any jury member has a right to privacy and is under no obligation whatsoever to speak to the media. This is an invasion of privacy and I hope he is prosecuted. If he was doing this "on his own accord" like some other poster surmises, then MSNBC should do a much better job of vetting and giving directions to their freelancers. If a jury member wishes to be interviewed by the media, it is up to them to take the initiative to contact the media, not the other way around. This is totally unacceptable and could result in a mistrial. |
If this whole affair ends with a mistrial with prejudice because of MSNBC jury tampering…OMG. |
There was an incident much earlier in the trial where they caught someone trying to take pictures of the jury in the courtroom. |
Wouldn't that be amazing? What a world. |
But there wasn't actually any tampering because the police did their job. So the fantasy is moot. |
Unless YOU are the jounralist, you don't know that for a fact. I don't buy BS's twitter statement. So you can stand down, PP. |
