| What tournaments are VLC going to this fall |
Most likely will follow the standard formula. It will be a combo of Crabs with an NFL event too. So they will claim that they go to the “best” tournaments. The Crabs will give them a week pool play schedule so they can make the finals bracket. There they will face better competition and get promptly eliminated. |
| Boy, you really don't get it, do you? Good luck getting recruited at the Hershey and Virginia Beach tourneys.... |
Don't forget the ones in Pottstown and NC... |
And how was he off base in that post? Its a well known fact that VLC plays majority Crabs and Crabs affiliated (NLF, HHH, etc.) tournaments and very little else. And maybe you don't get it that recruiters will go to *gasp* non-Crabs tournaments too. But, hey, if VLC got in your head that deep, keep believing! |
| If you are going to join a club based on number of college commits then just lookup which clubs are sending their kids to play in college. Clubs publicly post this information. |
| As they say in the stock market past performance is not proof of future results. |
No, you’re right. Playing against HHH, Laxachusetts, Prime Time, West Coast, etc. is horrible. Hershey pulls much better teams. |
No, no, you’re right. Those are great clubs and good competition, I agree. I wonder why those clubs play outside of the Crabs tournaments. I guess the premier clubs don’t need to rely on the parent to give them a favorable seeding in pool play? Did the same thing with my little brother. Lob up a soft one so he can get at it and feel like he is playing with the big boys. |
This post makes no sense. Top teams let other teams get an east game? The NLF and NAL events are the best events in the fall |
| This post has officially gone off the rails and into crazy town. Why can’t we keep it to vlc lacrosse and what’s going on with the teams and management of the organization. Especially after the merger with cavs and certain teams falling apart. I think families just want to understand if it’s a good fit for them or not before they spend thousands on a club and invest so much time driving little jimmy around to practices, tournaments, and games. |
| VLC is a bad club. Can’t imagine it will be around much longer. If they did have a strong culture before that is long gone and many reasonable parents (not the bad apples from the Cavs merger) have moved on from the few benefits of competing in the NLF. That landscape is changing anyway with National teams. If you are on a VLC team with a good coach and group of parents/kids, stick it out until it goes south. Otherwise, buyer beware. |
Good one Cabell. |
Nice |
it all depends on class year. in the 2026 class for example, many starters left Madlax for VLC. |
