| I almost NEVER wear heels (unless it's a special occasion or I'm going out with the girls). I'm not overly tall or anything, I just prefer comfy flats on a day-to-day basis. |
| Everyday. Sometimes I wear flats, but rarely. |
|
Every day for work. Usually around 2 1/2 or 3 inch. I'll do platforms as well since those are more comfortable.
Weekends, I'll do flats, or boots with a chunky low heel. I'm 5'7" so I don't really need them for height, but like the look for the office. |

Maybe 3-4 a year. I am a preschool teacher and have 4 kids of my own. I always wear cute flats.
The first time one of my kids saw me in heels she asked me why I was wearing "grandma's shoes" LOL. |
| Daily, and I'm 5'9". |
| Only special occasions. I had a doctor tell me I could choose between shoes and feet, I picked feet. High heels every day for 20+ years will result in some messed up feet. I'm 5'9 so I don't really need them anyway. Work is business casual to no worries there, either. |
|
I never wear anything higher than 2" and I am short (5' 2").
I decided that if I can't comfortably run in it for a short distance, it shouldn't be on my feet at all. I hate the high heel trend. |
High heels are not a trend - flats are a trend. |
| Never. |
There's a recent study going around that was featured on the popular news sites as well as the Today Show about how even women in their 20s have problems from wearing high heels, so not just older women. Heels shorten the muscles or something. I wear maybe 2 inch heels at work sometimes, but never commuting (walking from metro or to meeting, or walking to get lunch, etc.). And on weekends I'm typically in sneakers. And if I know I'm going to be in a business/professional setting that requires me to walk around (like at a conference or something) I'll typically wear flats or very low heels. You are right - it's just not worth it! |
HAHA, as you probably sit there in your crocs, or if you are feeling fancy, Danskos. Last time I checked high heels were not a trend, unless you think that trends run in 100 year cycles. |

Pre-kids and pre-WAH-- I wore them every day. I probably could have run a marathon in them I was so used to heels. I also am barely 5'5" so if I wear heels I don't need to get my pants hemmed.
I now only wear them when I go out on the town or the very few times I actually have to go into the Office. I will wear wedges during 'open toe' season. I really can't believe I've fallen this far to the other extreme. However, after I am done working (at home) I pick up my boys from school and head to a park. I am very active with them---racing, playing soccer, b-ball, etc. I could not do this in heels nor would I want to. |
| If it's black tie, I might. I now own two pairs! Black AND brown. But I need them to have thick heels and no higher than 2", otherwise I can't walk in them. |
|
as little as possible.
events or fancy meetings. maybe once a month. |
| I wear heels most days at work and if going out on weekend. I'm short so I like the height boost and the way heels look. I try to be careful about my feet and don't have any problems apparent yet (mid 40s and been doing this for 20 years now). I do make sure that I always wear good shoes that fit well and have good padding. No cheap flimsy heels. Most of my heels are in the 3-4 inch range, although that obviously varies from shoe to shoe. I'm sure someday I will have to give up my heels but I hope not for a while. |
