South Korea reports 107 new cases of coronavirus and 5 new deaths, smallest daily increase in cases in more than 3 weeks.

This could be very hopeful news that they are indeed on a downward trajectory.

But note that they’re going to take at least two months to get back to normal.

And South Korea is the absolute BEST case.

The best case outcome for the US is three months from now. And that’s if we act right now.

From what I understand, South Korea took the same measures as China, instituting fever clinics and mandatory isolation (away from your family) to curb the spread. Nothing we are going to be doing here anytime soon.

How long from exposure to exhibiting symptoms? My 11 yo just started coughing (dry hacking cough) and complaining of a burning throat. She told me her friend’s mother got tested for COVID-19. I am disturbed by her pronouncement. I have a million questions but she fell asleep.

The 3 main symptoms appear to be dry cough, fever, and shortness of breath. For example:

I have seen reports/articles say sore throat/runny nose can be a symptom, but I don't think it has been recognized as a main symptom.

2-14 days. Symptoms can show up on day 12.
