But SJC outscored them both. The best team in the DMV is still on Military Road.

I think that’s a stretch. They can throw and catch and all that. Just not the athletes they used to get I guess. EHS anyway. Looked like how an intersquad scrimmage would go between the A and B teams.

What does that mean? They aren't giving lax scholarships like they used to or, like in sssas case, the admin changed and athletics were de-emphasized. There's no excuse for such a disparity between first and 4th in a region with so much interest in lacrosse. This is building blocks kind of stuff where a school could have a good program in almost every sport except football with just minimal effort and outreach.

I don’t think it’s entire an admin issue at SSSAS. Their headmaster has been there since 2014 and that program only fell off in the last 2-3 years.

EHS is a weird case. They’re a southern-focused boarding school with no natural feeder program. Most of their top talent has come from Alexandria, which has totally fallen off the lacrosse map.

Both these schools have small student bodies. They were both at their best when they were some of the most aggressive recruiters in the area. SSSAS used to have their pick of the Blackwood litter, but that program hardly exists anymore.

Speaks coming to SJC turbocharged recruiting in the DC area and neither of the Alexandria schools have been able to catch up. Conklin is the director of admissions at EHS, so he should be to throw his weight around, but it doesn’t appear to be a priority for the school.

It’s only year one of the Maddox era at EHS. Let’ see where things go.

SSSAS has no excuse. It was an absolute power in girls lacrosse forever. It was really good in boys lacrosse for a long time. It has around 300 boys in lower and middle school. Ince should be allowed to institute a rec and club program immediately using the school's facilities. My understanding is the school is about to blow up the IAC by downgrading football and hockey and reducing the IAC to 5 schools. The Board is incompetent to allow this to happen. With such a pool of kids, there is no excuse not to have a healthy program in every sport.

Episcopal has the same result but through a different manner. Yes, the school was a southern-focused boarding school that decided to embrace the NE woke ideology and trumpeting it loudly. It corroded the pool of applicants to no one's surprise leaving it with a student body begging for applicants. The progressives didn't want to go to a southern-focused school and the southern applicants didn't want this type of woke curriculum shoved in their faces.

Both of these school need to find their way quickly because they are headed down a path leading to tough financial times.

There's no going anywhere. The cost associated with EHS is $80k at a 100% boarding school with a religious association. The school needs to get back to where they came from and start pounding the streets in the affluent suburbs of the southern metropolitan areas.

Clown take about a clown. Ask Landon how much they miss his flea circus and tiny progeny.
