Many of us support Younkin in Arlington but also realize that opponents will light our flags on fire, egg our house, tear up our sign and vandalize our property. Why make a target of ourselves and our family by the party that loves diversity intersectionality, but not diversity of thought. Many of my D friends have admitted they will be voting for Younkin this round - mostly based on school issues and the teacher's union only caring about teachers.

How many F**King times do I have to hear some dumbf**k republican say that dems don’t like diversity of thought bc we tell them no, we won’t listen to their climate-change denying, horse-paste eating, racist and idiotic theories? Like no….it’s not diversity of thought to hear how dumb y’all are. No one ever said - let’s just listen to every chicken sh!t idea.

So when posters don't agree you resort to this type of response. Some of us don't agree with you that if Youngkin wins that everything is doom and gloom. Democrats have total control now and our Federal government and how is that going for us? I would love a third party option but one does not exist. Some of us are not even Republicans that you are yelling at. I voted for Biden but will not be voting for McAuliffe. Only voted for Biden because I could not stand Trump. We are not all the same no matter how much you wish that was the case.

You can believe you aren’t the same, but unfortunately, since republicans are advancing a fascist agenda with the Ultimate goal of ending democratic elections…if you are not supporting the opposition (i.e., democrats), you are effectively the same….I dont really care how you feel inside..your actions will allow republicans to end our democracy and that you don’t see that is the issue.

Omg please! Republicans are saying, gee, I think it’s appropriate to show some form of ID before you vote. I’m sorry, but I agree! It’s insulting to say that minorities are too stupid to go to a dmv and get an ID. Without some form of ID, you could vote as your neighbor. All this hyperbole and wailing over some very common sense things.

How many times do people have to say that it’s not voter id. It’s Republican states passing laws that allow legislators to overrule election results and decide the winner themselves.

It’s about R senators voting against even talking about the Manchin-coordinated bill (that includes voter id).

It’s about Youngkin supporting the anti democratic lie that the election was stolen by making voter integrity his primary platform.

Unfortunately people screaming “stolen election!” will continue to come from both sides (Bush v Gore; Trump v Biden). It is in the water now.

Nope. It’s not “water under the bridge”. Lolololol.

Trump is STILL saying that he won 2020. Not even close to equivalent.

You are either profoundly ignorant about what republicans are doing or you’re trying to gaslight. Both obviously reflect v poorly on you.

Remember when Trump called to try to force the GA Sec of State to ‘find’ more votes? I do. Remember the widespread false claims of fraud in states across the country that republicans falsely propagated to undermine the election? I do. Remember when there was literally dozens and dozens of suits trying to throw out election results in AZ, MI, WI, PA and GA to try to un-do the outcomes in those states? I do. There was a vast, concerted effort to literally overturn the 2020 election. It failed. But that was the goal and now they are passing laws so they can actually pull it off next year.

Stop trying to lie and minimize. You’re disgusting.

Fool. I didn’t say “water under the bridge.” “In the water” means it is part of the normal process.

Stop trying to normalize Trump’s criminal behavior. It’s not even close to equivalent or part of the “normal process”.

I wish Rs didn't fall into the fake controversy over CRT and I support transstudents rights. But VA public schools are messed up and the mask mandate needs to be lifted on kids. The CDC has jumped the shark with the latest statements about masking even after kids are vaccinated. Rates are low and vaccines are imminent, governors need to start announcing off-ramp plans now. I have zero confidence in McAuliffe on these issues.

The pandemia is not over and kids need to keep their mask on at school. Precaution doesn’t hurt, being R-neck does.

Oh just stop. Schools in Europe were open throughout the pandemic. Our schools closed because of the Teachers union pressure. Not because of the science.

This. School closures were because Trump (who I despise) said “open schools” in July or August. Because people around here have the maturity of gnats, they HAD to do the opposite of what Trump said because TRUMP! So the children were thrown under the bus for entirely unscientific adult temper tantrum. All I can say is Go Youngkin!!

1) That’s not what happened. Numbers were already starting to go up with an expected fall/winter surge.

2) Many schools in Europe used distance learning.

Is it physically possible for Rs to NOT lie?

Where are your sources? I gave you one from NPR that showed European schools open when we were closed down. You seem to be the one not being truthful because it does not fit your narrative.
