I'm only bitter because they aren't friends with me. |
I've got nothing against them.
But if they've moved to the US, I presume it's to be private citizens living normal lives. No need to keep the dog and pony show up. Take some time off of the royal train and then get back on (in the UK) when you're ready. |
"No respective media really devotes time to Harry and Meghan"...yet they have been featured in Time, Forbes and the New York Times. I would ask your definition of respectable, but it really doesn't matter. Respectable or not, the media knows who brings in the clicks/money. |
But, what would you have them do? They can’t do normal jobs, for either skill or security reasons. What would they do with their days? They are taking the trust fund philanthropist route which is more admirable than the trust fund ski instructor / party circuit approach they could have taken. |
Yes, they can get normal jobs. Virtual work is common. Learn a skill, go to school, and get going. MM can easily get back to acting. Living like they’re the Royals of America is gross and goes against the values of democracy. |
She’s totally pregnant again. Her face and lips are puffy like her pregnancy with Archie. |
Yep, barely recognizable. |
Why should they get 'normal' jobs when Netflix is paying them $100 million? Jesus you people are delusional. |
I like Harry, but he’s been blind-sided by the fame hungry MM.
She was a D-list actor before booking up with Harry. She’s now hijacked the spotlight to share with the world how “woke” she is. Her lastest appearance on CNN is absolutely nauseating. But she’s no doubt loving the spotlight and enjoying how media is now giving her a platform. |
Why do I care what she says on CNN? Or the NYT? I resent seeing them randomly when I have no interest. I know I'm here commenting. It's just really annoying that they are everywhere and the only reason is the royal connection that they "left behind."
They have tons of money. Either stay hidden or pick a cause or causes and actually commit to them regularly and publicly These drive by media appearances only remind me how irrelevant they are outside of the BRF and apparently Netflix |
Philanthropist? Give me a break. They're craven grifters banking $1m checks for speaking fees and far more for their Netflix deal. They'll take money from any source for apparently any sort of work to fill their coffers. Gross vulgarians. |
Chances are that H & M will continue to appear in these mediums...if seeing them bothers you this much maybe you should not watch/ read them. H & M just out there living their lives you should do likewise. |
PP here. I would agree, except I am just living my life- clicking on NEWS sources, not gossip/celebrity sites, and still seeing them when they AREN'T news. and apparently came here so that they would not be news. $$$$ |
If news about them didn't sell, they wouldn't be in the news. |
I’ve said this before - we don’t have royalty here in the states, so MM and Harry’s appearances seem kind of stilted. When they came to the US they became garden-variety celebrities, without the gravitas that royal status brings.
That being said, I appreciate that they are trying to do some good; they certainly aren’t doing any harm. But I can sense a bit of an identity crisis as they try to find their footing outside of the BRF. Appearing on TV to address the nation with words of comfort and encouragement made sense in the UK, in the context of their roles as royals, but it’s a little off here on the states. I don’t want to say “who cares”, but it’s kind of true. |
