There is a poster or posters here who love to post half truths or opinions stated as facts so that people take time to ask about them and take away from discussion of the real issues. Some examples were posts claiming Blake Lively said Baldoni hurt her Oscar chances or that she alleged that his cut intended to show her "V." |
| Appreciate the poster giving context about the Golden Globe speech. |
It’s part of the claim for damages in the complaint. |
I posted that Blake claimed he hurt her chances of an Oscar, but it was a joke. Girlfriend has no chance of winning an acting award. I don't know who posted about her vagina. lol. |
Thank you! Also watched the interview of her on the page and my God, the way she describes the character she was playing... |

| Nobody has any reason to believe this, but a friend of a friend (I know, I know) who worked on the movie said there wasn’t a moment where JB wasn’t completely lovely. That’s the second time I’ve heard that. I obviously don’t have direct involvement and I’m just some random internet poster, but for me, I do feel bad for the guy. |
They may have something to drop in sales from the drinks, but there is no way to know that falling sales of the hair care products is the fault of this. The hair product was launched as part of this film promotion. It is quite possible people were curious and then interest tapered off. Or that her diehard fans wanted to try it but no one else. I’m sorry, but there was a lot of doubt that this product line was going to be successful. Think of all of the celeb lines that have failed. She’s had failed business ventures before - she of all people should know. It’s very hard in this market to launch a new hair or skin or makeup product. I’ve said before on this thread, at one point, she was sort of a style It girl. She definitely had her moment, but that moment was a long time ago. I think most people now know her as Ryan Reynolds wife, and Serena from Gossip Girl. No shame in that and nothing wrong in that she’s taken time off to be a mom to 4 kids and she’s deemphasized her acting career. But I just don’t think she had what it takes to have a successful hair care line. It’s really a stretch to blame Justin Baldoni on this. |
| It's difficult to prove damages in these cases, agreed. Difficult to prove cause and effect. Maybe people wouldn't be interested anyway. She may have some evidence when she says her products' social media accounts were flooded with hateful comments when she locked her personal accounts, if she can prove via IP addresses or other evidence that those were the bot/paid accounts. If she can show a sudden dramatic decrease in sales on the days immediately after those were posted, then maybe she's got a shot. |
Remember back in March when Blake made a joke about Kate Middleton's Mother's Day Photoshop and had to apologize? Maybe it already started then.
|
Yeah so did everyone else. Blake's crimes are hardly serious compared to others. The hate towards her is ridiculous. She snubbed a reporter for a lame comment? People don't like where she had her wedding? That's it? |
This photo is pretty strange. Is this the actual picture associated with the Betty product? |
