You think that was ONE poster? When you are supporting the poster demeaning the purchase of KAA because he or she wants to move the kids who would benefit from KAA to a school thirty minutes away? |
DP. There is clearly a Langley-hater lurking who can’t let it go. That’s pretty clear. Here it is meant as a distraction and really doesn’t belong in this thread. Comes off as sour grapes. |
I think it's done. There is going to be a massive re-shuffle from Langley/Mclean to Westfield. Pretty much all of the schools north of 66 (along with Centreville and save for Madison) could see some borders shifting.
Buckle up. It's going to be a very interesting fall. I can see the board populating the new school one class at a time. That way, the older students finish at their original schools. So, that's a silver lining. |
If you’re going to make up troll scenarios, you have to make them somewhat plausible. This is pretty weak sauce. |
I'm so confused about how you think Langley and McLean could send kids to Westfield, LOL |
Might be a domino effect. |
Domino effect all the way to California! Again, if you are going to troll, you gotta make it semi-plausible. |
Geez! You sound like a man; way too emotional to be a woman. Aren’t we all discussing possible scenarios? |
This. Domino effect is clearly what they are saying. McLean is over capacity...so sending seats to Langley helps. Similarly, Langley sending a feeder to Herndon helps. South lakes and Centreville and Westfield are all in play. Even Oakton has a split feeder that may be re routed to the new school. Its not crazy. It actually is entirely plausible. |
These two things are not like each other. McLean is still overcrowded, so moving the portion of the Spring Hill split feeder that goes to McLean to Langley could help with overcrowding there. Langley is not overcrowded, and its current enrollment includes roughy 100 kids pupil placing. If Langley starts to get overcrowded, they can eliminate those pupil placements, just like McLean did years ago. There's no need to send anyone to Herndon to "help" Langley, as much as you might like to reassign some Langley students. |
Good. Stay put. Just quit trying to shut down KAA because you are worried about being shifted in the future. |
Nobody is moving anyone from Langley. There is too much $$ passing hands for that to happen. |
I'm neither trying to shut down KAA nor worried about getting moved in the future. However, the situations at McLean and Langley are not "similar." |
So when someone points out the errors in your argument, you resort to conspiracy tropes. Got it. |
But, one of your friends is. |
