BOE - who are people voting for?

Anonymous
Laura Stewart got some very good endorsements. Dawn Luedtke and Evan Glass have asked challenging questions of MCPS in council sessions -- Dawn especially did a good job grilling them during one of the Beidleman sessions.

Or the Maryland State Board of Elections.

No bec Mandel the idiot and Diaz Ms Tin Foil hat registered as Dems they are not.

Diaz is Right wing ultra conservative stupidity.

Yes, but you are conflating two different things. The BOE races are non-partisan races; that is a fact. However, the candidates and/or board members may certainly be registered members of any political party as individuals.

Lol if you think Diaz is not RW repugnant Republican values you are not bright

I think most people who don't follow closely vote Apple Ballot. And then a year later, those same members elected are criticized. Can't win.

The winners will be Montoya, Stewart and Zimmerman. They sold their souls the most to special interest and they know it. They could care less about student achievement. Zimmerman doesn’t even want to do the job. However, she loves the attention and is okay with people telling her what to do and say.

If the system is rigged, then why aren't Sunil Dasgupta and Valerie Coll on the board? They got the MCEA endorsements in recent elections too.

Don’t be absurd. Trumpie idiot.

Diaz is moms4liberty antivax fully not just covid, liar, crazy nut who should be no where near kids,

Yes, all of that is correct, but the problem is that Zimmerman would be even worse for kids.

Absurd. Zimmerman would bring a refreshingly younger and more well-informed perspective to the board. Someone with recent experience inside elementary schools who knows first hand what the problems are and which solutions would be helpful.

Her priority is looking out for teachers, not students.

Plus she apparently has some back-room deal with an unknown benefactor to pay her while she's on the board, since she won't be able to keep teaching.

Do you have evidence of this or is this just random speculation?

Are these candidates planning to attend the community listening session at Blair tonight? The least they can do is show up and LISTEN!

If Diaz shows up get ready for nonsense.

At the last forum she couldn’t answer one question directly.

Diaz is endorsed by RW Heritage foundation keep her out of MCPS.

Her stance from her X is support of RFK Jr, Libs of TikTok, Moms4liberty, unified Education against Racism ie code for actual Racists, clearly she is not bipartisan. She is also endorsed by the Republican Party.

Keep her off the board. Moms4liberty and LibsofTiktok are both designated terorist organizations and want religion in schools and are violent. Given we have over 160,000 diverse students of many religions which one is MsDiaz endorsing?

Oh and she’s a book banner that should be disqualifying for anyone involved in Education period.

Brenda Diaz is supported and endorsed by Stephen Miller Mr serial number on Americans Americas Legal first who is currently suing MCPS.

By the way he’s not a lawyer just a POS garden variety Racist horrible sub human.

Did any of the candidates who are not on the board show up at the BOE meeting this week? Did they engage with audience, current members or asking questions to MCPS staff at the meeting? Do they care?

I would imagine campaigning in the middle of a BOE meeting would be frowned upon.

No, it is not about campaigning. It is about showing up for important discussions. Duh.

BOE candidates can and do submit testimony for public comment, just like anyone else. None did so yesterday, but they have at times in the past.

Not voting for any woman or any POC woman. I am going to vote for a White man. Preferably a Jewish White man.

- POC woman.

The current boe is a joke. I don’t show up either. I know what they do is all for show, having been denied twice the opportunity to bring up serious matters up.
