VRSC

Well, folks, the parental grapevine is buzzing about their kids' futures, and let me tell ya, it ain't lookin' too rosy. I'm seriously doubting they'll make any smart moves with their coaching picks. And this whole “no tryouts” nonsense? Yeah, that's just a fancy way of saying, “Hey, we’re bringing in players from who-knows-where that we like more than your kid” This club was supposed to be loyal to the kids already here, but surprise, surprise, it's turning into another LS.
So, anyone got the scoop on SYC? Their teams seem decent and the parents don’t seem too nutty. Any thoughts? I’m hearing a bunch of VRSC folks are jumping ship to SYC and McLean. Just curious, ya know?

The SYC parents are plenty nutty

So how does the GA2 aspire work? Will the top GA2 team get automatically promoted to GA1? Does that mean the bottom GA1 team gets relegated?

Revolution is a weak club. Not sure what these 141 pages are about. Teams are mid.

Each team at VRSC has already stolen 2-3 kids from the LS teams as they found out what was happening. Those kids will make VRSC the top ga program through the spring and fvu teams asamd into next year. they found out this ch. Lots of la parents and VDA parents on here gloating

Not sure what the future holds, but GA and ECNL must realize that this is the hot bed. Why else would there be so much drama. Peeps…enjoy the ride.

The drama is about the money not the talent. There really isn’t a lot of talent. Most of the best potential gets out early. There’s no team play in the system. Those that actually learn team play are few and guess what, they get recruited. TSJ and VRSC coaches have success with this and as a result their players are sought. LS focuses on kids that are fast early which reinforces playing the wrong way. As they get older, they struggle. Pay to play gets in the way.

You can't be more right. I’ve seen this so often, it’s practically on replay. Once, an LS coach told me, “I can’t teach speed,” which was my light bulb moment that he might be in the “teaching” the wrong sport. Soccer is not like other sports; it is not just about speed and how big you are… Nothing will change until we, and yes, that includes nearly everyone here, stop obsessing over winning at the age of six and start focusing on genuinely developing athletes. And don’t get me started on the pay-to-play model and the endless leagues. Do we really need that many leagues? I know, I know... it’s all about Benjamins. In the end, there’s a fortune to be made in kids' sports.

What do your rev coaches teach that teams can go entire season with zero goals scored? Amusing!

Bobby gutted the forwards from the teams. This will change soon.
enter nva players…

Alrighty then, simmer down there, cowboy. Ain't nobody stealing talent here. Truth is, the talent's pretty much middle-of-the-road everywhere you look. Every club around these parts gets a good ol' reality check when they hit them big national events. Sure, some might hold their own at regionals, but once they step onto that national stage, it’s like watching a cow trying to ice skate. Everyone's getting shown up.

fax if only a club had the knowledge to develop soccer players vs panicking and cutting and running to mlsnext to keep a smaller club at bay. That club should focus on recruiting and going ecnl …..

Hah

Then we would have a new cow for slaughter at nattys

It’s telling that a smallish club like Revolution is able to garner so much discussion on here. That only happens when people feel threatened by their existence. All the hate just confirms that Revolution is doing something right.

Or maybe the all the hate is from the constant chest pounding about how great VRSC will be one day and the constant ga vs ecnl posts. Two years ago it was FCV on this site with the same nonsense. Not too hard to see who is behind it all and maybe most people who know him think he’s a backpfeifengesicht.

Dropping 16 million only on purchase of evergreen isn’t smallish, so to speak. Those coaches are paid anywhere between 10-12k for lower level with GA coaches no less than 40-50k per team. Continual and non-stop building and renovations aren’t cheap either and it’s doubtful raventek is footing the bill. No one is threatened by revolution, however anyone can get sick and tired of being promised a “non-LS” model but yet becoming a crappier version of LS 2.0

All the while in almost a decade of existence they haven’t achieved anything worthy of bragging in youth soccer, except buying a spot in a league.
